Chapter 19
Leah’s eyes widened slightly. She hadn’t expected that. “Why?”
He looked at her, his gaze intense yet composed. “I need your help with something.”
Leah blinked, momentarily taken aback. Was this a request for assistance?
From him? Her mind raced, but before she could respond, Jacob turned and walked away without saying another word.
Watching him leave, Leah couldn’t help but feel a strange sense of anticipation. What could he possibly need her help with? And why was she so eager to find out?
She snapped herself out of her thoughts and shook her head, trying to refocus. There were more important things to worry about right now. She had already proven her abilities, but this–this
something else entirely.
With a deep breath, Leah returned to the classroom.

As Leah entered the classroom, the once noisy environment had quieted down, as if everyone had fallen Anto a strange kind of hush.
The teacher came in shortly after and announced to the class that Leah’s results had been verified, and
she hadn’t cheated on the exam.
Leah took her seat, the weight that had been hanging on her chest lifting. She hadn’t expected things to turn out this way, but it felt good to finally have the truth acknowledged.
However, the quiet atmosphere was quickly broken by the murmurs from a few students, who were whispering amongst themselves. Most of them seemed surprised, but some of them couldn’t quite hide their jealousy.
One person who wasn’t hiding her emotions at all was Quilla, who was sulking at her desk.
Her mood was clearly sour, and the look on her face spoke volumes. She had been hoping Leah would fail miserably, but the opposite had happened. It felt like a slap in the face.
As Leah glanced at her, she could see Quilla’s jealousy simmering beneath the surface.
There was no doubt that Quilla, who was usually the center of attention, could not accept that Leah had

tolen her thunder, both in terms of grades and in the way the whole school had been talking about her.
The thought of someone surpassing her in any way made Quilla feel like she had been publicly
humiliated.
Leah, however, couldn’t bring herself to care. She wasn’t bothered by her classmates‘ opinions. She had proven herself, and that was all that mattered.
Just as she was about to turn her attention back to the class, the bell rang, signaling the end of the school
day.
After school, Leah went straight to the infirmary. Jacob was waiting for her inside, sitting on a chair. When she entered, he glanced up and then turned his attention back to the computer screen in front of
him.
He didn’t immediately greet her, but when she got closer, he looked at her with a faint smile. “Finished with your homework?”
Leah nodded, trying to keep her voice steady. “Yes, the teacher asked me to review my mistakes, and I’ve done it already.”
Jacob motioned for her to sit beside him, indicating the computer. “Want to play a game? Do you have an
account?”
Leah’s eyes lit up at the invitation. “I do, but I was thinking of starting a new account.”
Jacob seemed to approve of her decision. “Good idea. We’ll both play on new accounts, then.”
Leah quickly opened her game account and randomly typed in a name: LemonSweet. Once she was logged in, she looked over at Jacob. “What’s your name? Let’s add each other.”
As she glanced at his game screen, her eyes widened in surprise when she saw his username. IfTimeCould GoBack.
It was the exact same name she had seen in her previous life.
Her heart skipped a beat. Could it be him? The person she had known in her past life? The one who had helped her when she was lost and struggling?
Jacob raised an eyebrow when he noticed her staring at his screen. “What’s wrong? Add me as a friend.”
Leah snapped out of her thoughts, blushing slightly, and quickly clicked to accept his friend request.

she did so, her mind was racing. Could this really be the same person? The coincidence was too much to ignore, but the timing didn’t add up,
“Why did you choose this name?” she asked, trying to hide the unease in her voice. She coldt keep her curiosity contained any longer.
Jacob shrugged, a casual expression on his face. “I just picked it randomly”
Leah didn’t know what to think. Maybe it was just a coincidence. She couldn’t imagine how he could be
the same person from her past life, especially when their paths didn’t cross until much later.
She nodded and smiled faintly, trying to push the thoughts out of her mind. It probably was a coincidence after all.
The two of them then focused on the game. As they entered the new beginner zone together, Leah noticed that Jacob’s gameplay was smooth and skilled, despite being on a new account.
It was clear he wasn’t a total beginner, and she wondered if he was just pretending to be one

As they continued through the missions, they encountered another team. Leah froze when she saw the name of the opposing team. It was led by none other than her brother, Leo, and Quilla.
Jacob glanced at her with a raised eyebrow. “Want to go after them?”
↑
Leah smirked. “Go after them? We’re both on new accounts, and we have no gear to speak of. We’d be asking for trouble if we went up against them.”
Despite her words, a small part of her felt the thrill of confrontation. She wanted to beat them, to show them that she was better than they thought.
Jacob seemed to sense this, his lips curling into a faint smile. “We’ll wait until they’re almost done with their mission. Then, we’ll swoop in and take their BOSS.”
