Anna remembered the cold-blooded way Ronald had sacked those employees and couldn’t help but snicker to herself, imagining that June’s end would be even more pathetic. A triumphant smirk played across her lips.
“Ronald, you’re a go**n lifesaver, always looking out for me,” Anna whispered, her eyes shining with admiration.
“I’ve got even more to offer; you up for it?” Ronald smirked lewdly, his hands starting to
roam.
Anna was game, wrapping her legs clad in silky stockings around Ronald’s waist.
Seeing her response, Ronald hoisted Anna onto the s*us desk and ripped her stockings with a sharp tug, the tearing sound slicing through the air.
A sinister spark flashed in Anna’s eyes as she thought, ‘Enjoy it while it lasts, June. Your days are f*g n**umbered.
Meanwhile, over at the plush office of Leonard Group, June had just handed in her design. draft.
Kane’s assistant, Howard Jarvis, grabbed the draft and bolted to Kane’s office.
“Mr. Leonard, you nailed it. That design titan, Luv K, might actually be hiding out at June Maple Jewelry,” Howard said, his voice tinged with exhilaration.
“Show me,” Kane demanded, taking the draft and examining it intently. The unique flair was unmistakably reminiscent of Luv K’s signature style.
Wilbur crowded in, his eyes popping with astonishment. “Holy s**! Did you actually find her? But why the hell haven’t we heard about Luy K being there before?”
Kane c**y responded, “She’s been keeping it hush-hush.”
Wilbur rubbed his chin, musing, “If Luv K wants to keep a low profile, what’s our play?”
Kane pondered for a beat, then replied slowly, “Jocelyn’s birthday is on the 8th of next month. I’m throwing a big party and will take the chance to invite the boss from June Maple Jewelry, We’ll probe around a bit, see what we can uncover.”

Kane Leonard shot Wilbur a frosty glare. “She’s just a smokescreen, nothing more.”
“A smokescreen?” Wilbur responded, puzzled.
Kane’s voice carried a hint of bitterness. “Grandma shoved June and me together. It was never about love. We’re just making each other miserable. Why drag it out?” He paused, a name June had once slipped coming to mind, unsettling him slightly.
Wilbur seemed to understand, but then he hesitated. “I see. But last time I checked, you seemed a bit too concerned about her to be just acting…”
Kane cut him off with a sharp look. “That’s because you’re f**ing blind.”
Wilbur let out an awkward chuckle. “Fine, I’ll shut up.”

Meanwhile, June was browsing online when she accidentally caught a glimpse of a news article praising Dwayne for his remarkable success in the Eastside project. She smiled gently, filled with a proud, warm glow. ‘That’s my brother, always killing it, she thought, brimming with pride.
Motivated by Dwayne’s success, June felt the urge to celebrate. She pondered what to buy but came up empty. Deciding to look for inspiration, she planned to go to the mall after work.
Upon finishing work, June made her way to the largest mall in Asterwich, hoping to find the perfect gift. She bee-lined for the men’s accessories section, dazzled by the array of watches, belts, and ties.
Thinking it over, she decided a tie would be a practical yet classy gift. As she entered a well- known tie shop and started looking around, a jarring, sneering voice broke her concentration. “Ms. Keller, buying ties now? Who are you trying to impress this time? Found a new guy already after ditching Mr. Leonard?”
