June’s eyes gradually filled with tears that quickly spilled over. She choked on her sobs as she lunged into Dwayne’s open arms.
“Dwayne!” she cried out.
Dwayne enveloped her securely, his voice steady and comforting. “Hey, no worries, I’ve got you. Let’s get you home.”
Back at their opulent villa with its classical flair, the sight of rare plants and vast lawns added a layer of luxury. Tyler Keller, a name revered in Asterwich, was visibly moved to see June step out of the limited edition Rolls-Royce.
June,” he called out softly.
June sprinted towards Tyler and dove into his arms, tears overflowing once again. “Dad…” she sobbed.
Halle Keller, the epitome of poise and grace, reached out and gently patted June’s shoulder. “Honey, stop crying. You’re tearing me apart here. From now on, you’ve got your dad, your three brothers, and me to fend off any a**ole who tries to mess with you.”
June turned and nestled her head against Halle’s shoulder, her actions resembling a kitten seeking comfort. “Mom, it feels so good to be home,” she whispered, her voice thick with emotion.
Halle looked at her tear-stained face with a mix of pain and tenderness. “Let’s get inside,” Halle murmured, then her tone hardened as she narrowed her eyes. “June, did that ba***rd Kane do something to make you leave him? Because if he screwed you, I’ll have his balls on a platter!”
June clung to Halle, her voice barely a whisper after a lengthy silence. “Mom, it’s not him, it’s me. I knew he didn’t love me, but I still played the fool, hoping my love might change his heart.” She inhaled sharply, her resolve firming. I’m done making sacrifices for someone who doesn’t love me. From now on, I’m sticking with you and dad. You guys are my rock.”
Halle had repeatedly tried to warn June about Kane’s amnesia, yet June had relentlessly pursued him. Seeing June now awakening from her delusion filled Halle with indescribable joy. She kissed June’s check, smiling broadly.
“Thank God, my strong, independent girl is back” Halle sighed with relief.

Tyler was thrilled. He declared robustly, “To celebrate June’s new beginning, I’m donating
200 dollars to that orphan charity, and Im naming it after her. Let’s show that jerk
just how formidable we are.”
Dwayne chuckled and responded, “Sounds good, I’ll handle it.”
“Why haven’t Paul and Louie come back yet?” Halle mused. Just then, Paul Keller’s face appeared on a video call.
“June, I’m tied up with a boxing match overseas today, but I’ll be home tomorrow. I’ll bring you the championship belt!” June’s middle brother Paul declared with a grin.
June’s face lit up with warmth as she watched Paul’s confident display. “Kick some a**, Paul! I’ll be here waiting.”
As soon as the call ended, June’s phone buzzed again. It was her third brother, Louie Keller. “June, d**n, I’m sorry I’m missing your big day I’m stuck on a film set and can’t get away. But I’ve stirred up a little storm for you on Twitter. Go take a look,” Louie said.
June logged onto Twitter and instantly saw the news that Louie had terminated all contracts. with the Leonard Group. His bold move was dominating the headlines and trending across social platforms.
Louie was a big-shot celebrity. So he suddenly axed his collaborations, sending his fans into a frenzy. They speculated something must be seriously f**ed up at Leonard Group,
bombarding their official accounts with angry comments. This mess caused Leonard Group’s
stock to tank.
Meanwhile, June imagined Kane freaking out over the crisis, which gave her a wicked sense of pleasure. “Nice one, bro!” she cheered.
Louie shot back with a smirk, “You bet, who else but me?” But then his agent interrupted, rushing him to set. After promising June some sweet gifts, he reluctantly ended the call.
Back at her posh place, June stretched out on her comfy bed, reveling in the freedom from the Leonard family’s strictures.
While digging into a spoonful of exorbitantly priced caviar for breakfast, June was suddenly enveloped by a pink-clad figure rushing towards her with a warm embrace.
June, happy divorce! God, I’ve missed you like crazy,” exclaimed Luna George as she nuzzled against June’s face.

Luna was once June’s-closest confidante, the kind of friend with whom she shared nearly every secret. But after she married Kane, June threw herself completely into her marriage, and as a result, her connection with Luna slowly dwindled.

Reunited, June was flooded with emotions, hugging Luna back. “Luna, I’ve missed you tons.”
Luna patted her shoulder. “Stop moping around. Let’s get dressed and hit the bar to celebrate ditching that d**k, Kane.”
“Let’s do it.” June laughed, heading to her closet to pick out a dress.
That night, the bar’s dim lights and the clinking of glasses set the mood.
June, clad in a striking red dress, made a dazzling entrance that captured everyone’s attention. Her delicate features and perfect figure were accentuated by the form-fitting design of her dress, making her all the more enchanting.
Luna, linking arms with her, joked, “Look at you, irresistible! Suitors would queue from Asterwich to Fantasia. Kane’s not even in the running.”
June smiled faintly, letting Kane’s name wash over her without a ripple. The man she had once been so caught up with was now just a faded memory. ‘I must have been blind to fall for that a**e. Never again, she vowed silently.
Luna pulled June down onto a sofa in a booth, waving her hand boldly. “Remember, this bar has some hot guys. I’ll call over a whole lineup, from bad boys to sweethearts, just to make sure you have fun.”
June held Luna’s hand, shaking her head with a smile. “Nah, I’m not into guys right now. I just want to shine on my own and focus on my career.”
Luna exclaimed, “That’s my girl! Who needs men when you can be fabulous all by yourself?” She opened a bottle of champagne, poured them both a drink, and raised her glass. “To your divorce, cheers!”
Their laughter echoed as their glasses clinked in the buzz of the bar.
Over in another corner of the bar, Kane was in a booth, idly swirling his drink. His chiseled face looked even more aristocratic under the dim lighting, giving him an air of unreachability. But the deep frown on his face was a dead giveaway of his c**y mood.
Louie had abruptly pulled the plug on all partnerships with the Leonard Group, which really screwed over Kane’s company. Despite Kane’s best efforts to get in touch, Louie was nowhere

to be found. Baffled, he grumbled to himself, ‘Everything was smooth sailing. Why the hell did he bail on me? And why eat such a huge penalty just to cut ties?’
Louie’s solid reputation in the entertainment biz got people speculating that the Leonard Group’s products must be f**ed up somehow. This led to sales plummeting and warehouses getting clogged up with unsold goods.
Wilbur Cooper, Kane’s old pal, slapped his shoulder and teased, “Man, Louie is a real piece of work-goes by his moods. Bet he’ll swing back around when he feels like it. Plus, you got rid of that nagging ex-wife, right? Can’t win them all in both love and business. Sounds like life-is just balancin**t out for you.”
Kane shot him a half-smirk, not bothering to respond.
Wilbur then winked at Tom Hudson, who quickly changed the subject. “Hey Kane, you mentioned that designer, Luv K, was over at the Keller family’s design company. Did you manage to track her down yet?”
“Not just yet, but I’ve got a solid plan to get to her,” Kane confidently replied.
Tom’s eyes lit up. “Awesome! Once we snag her, we’ll own the jewelry design scene.” He couldn’t help but joke, “Her name is Luv K, right? Like she has got a crush on you-K for Kane, come on, maybe she is your secret admirer?”
Kane rolled his eyes. “Next you’ll be saying she’s my d**n wife or something.”
Right then, Wilbur, buzzing with excitement, tapped Kane’s shoulder and stuttered, “K-Kane, look over there! Isn’t that your wife? S**t, sorry, I meant your ex. Wow, she looks way different than I remember.”
Kane snorted internally. ‘As if she would ever show up in a bar. That’s not her scene. But he glanced where Wilbur was pointing, and sure enough, a vibrant figure in red was turning heads.
That was June. Her slim waist, her hair flowing like a waterfall, and her beaming, confident smile made her hardly resemble the meek woman he remembered. For the first time, Kane saw a side of her that had always been hidden.
“S**t, man, someone is actually flirting with your ex. Guess she is more popular post-divorce than we thought, Wilbur said with a smirk, taking a sip of his wine.
Kane looked up just in time to catch June smiling warmly at some guy. That smile, typically so charming, somehow jabbed at him, tightening his chest.
