Chapter 24 He Figures It Out
“He’s Arthur’s bodyguard,” she whispered. “Why would Arthur send someone to my house right now?”
Diana’s expression turned serious. “He might be suspicious of you.”
“What should I do?” Charlotte’s panic escalated.
She never anticipated that Arthur would be so perceptive.
They had met here, and now he was starting to doubt her identity.
Was her disguise that inadequate?

Diana said firmly, “Don’t panic. He’s suspicious but hasn’t confirmed anything yet; otherwise, you would already be outed.”
Charlotte quickly messaged Arthur: [If this isn’t about the divorce, tell your man to leave. I don’t want to see you.]
Her anger was palpable even in text form.
She should be upset that he hadn’t responded to her earlier message.
After sending it, Charlotte tucked her phone away and felt a bit of relief.
Her attitude was justified.
Meanwhile, Arthur glanced at the message on his phone, his brow furrowing.

He looked toward Charlotte, his interest piquing.
His suspicion about her identity deepened.
If he wasn’t mistaken, he had just seen her take out her phone, and moments later, his phone buzzed with her message.
“What a lame trick,” he thought with a
sneer.
Charlotte caught sight of him walking toward her, and the calm she had just regained was shattered.
What was going on?
Why was he coming closer?
Fearing she might give something away, she glanced at Diana for help.
Diana frowned and stepped in front of Arthur. “Mr. Harrison, are you here to discuss a partnership with Ms. Aroma? I’m sorry, but our collaboration slots are all filled. Please come back next month.”
She handed him her business card. “You can reach out to me then.”
“Get out of the way,” Arthur replied coldly, shooting an icy glare at Diana.
Diana’s expression hardened. “Mr. Harrison, as I mentioned, Ms. Aroma is currently busy…”
Arthur had no intention of dealing with Diana. He fixed his gaze on Charlotte’s back and spoke icily, “Charlotte, nice act.”

Charlotte’s panic peaked.
This was dangerous.
He was confronting her without evidence, which meant he was almost certain.
If he chose to, he could unmask her and confirm his suspicions.
What should she do now?
