The playing cards in Jayce’s hand were crushed out of shape.

His pale, sharp features turned even colder, and the mole under his eye seemed more striking. His gaze turned icy as he looked at Arthur, his lips moving slightly.
“Mr. Caldwell!”
Delia stepped forward just in time and said, “It’s getting late. We should head back.”
She gently took the bent playing cards from his hand.
A silent reminder not to say anything further.
After all, Charlotte wasn’t divorced yet!
Jayce lowered his gaze slightly and stood up. “Let’s go.”
Delia let out a relieved sigh. Luckily, Jayce didn’t dig in his heels, or everything would’ve been ruined…
The atmosphere in the room was odd. Barrett rubbed his neck. “Why does it feel so chilly in here?”
Gideon chuckled softly and said, “It’s getting late. I have an early

Barrett’s eyes glimmered for a moment. “Alright, I’ll head out too. Arthur, are you leaving?”
Arthur nodded and stood, grabbing his coat as he prepared to

Sarah stood up and said, “Can you give me a ride? I had a little to drink and can’t drive.”
Sophia glanced at her. “I’ll take you,” she said.
Arthur immediately nodded. “Be careful on your way back.”
Then, he strode out.
Sarah bit her lip and looked at Sophia, who appeared calm. “What’s that supposed to mean?” she asked.
“I’m taking you home,” Sophia replied. “I didn’t drink, and it’s on my way.”
A flicker of coldness passed through Sarah’s eyes. She knew Sophia liked Arthur.
But their relationship was complicated, and they always maintained a facade of peace.
They did, however, share a common enemy–Charlotte.

The car was filled with a faint chill when the driver’s voice broke
the silence. “Mr. Harrison, we’ve arrived.”
Arthur, who had been resting with his eyes closed, opened them and looked at the familiar neighborhood.
Starlight Terrace, which was Charlotte’s residence.
His striking eyes remained indifferent as he stared outside, making no move to get out of the car.
Just then, a car drove straight into the complex.
Arthur’s brows furrowed. Wasn’t that Jayce’s car?
He abruptly opened the car door and stepped out, his expression icy as he watched Jayce’s car park below the building. Alone, he walked in and keyed in the elevator code to go upstairs.
What was he doing here?
Was he here to see Charlotte?
As he thought of the possibility, Arthur’s expression darkened instantly.
