Chapter 201
Chapter 201
RYN
Dutton cried out, dropping the gun, but I did not stop there.
I couldn’t stop.

Enraged, I yanked the knife out from his eye, not even flinching at the blood that splashed my face. Dutton tried to touch his eyes before blindly swinging his arm in an arch, aiming for me.
I lowered myself, bending under before burying the knife … chest, straight to the hilt.
Dutton cried out again with a roar.
“That’s for Theon!” My voice cracked but my bloody hand slipped on the hilt of the knife as I tried to yank it out. In that split second, Dutton grabbed my head with both hands and squeezed. I cried out as his nails cut into the skin of my face, sharp and unrelenting.
Wiping my hand against his shirt, I reached for the knife again and this time, I yanked it out successfully and drove it into
his ear.
Dutton froze.
“That’s for my parents.” I whispered, yanking it out again.
Bitter tears streamed out of my eyes as I imagined it was the ex–King himself. So I buried my knife in places I really wanted to do damage and even after Dutton’s hands laxed and fell, I didn’t stop.
As long as he was breathing and making choking noises, I couldn’t stop. I needed him to be as silent as my parents.
When his body fell flat on the floor, I followed, unrelenting as I straddled him, stabbing until Dutton’s gargles and choking/ ceased. Until his heart retired and the only noise left was the sound of my own heavy breathing.
That’s when I stopped. That’s when I could finally breathe right.
Miro’s deadly aura was the first thing I felt against my back, and a shudder went through me before his body lowered to his haunches beside me.

His hands rested loosely on his knees, inspecting Dutton’s battered and bloody body.
“Looks pretty dead to me, don’t
you
think?”
My head twisted to him slowly, and when I saw his beautiful face marked by a streak of someone’s blood, the heat long forgotten within surged again with intensity. Miro smirked as if he were a proud father and I forced myself to look away and slowly climb to my feet.
The moment I did that and turned, feet scampered backwards and that’s when I remembered the rest of the elite families
were still around.
I curled my hand tighter around my knife.
Each man had his wife behind him as if he could protect her from me, and as I watched them, bitter resentment built within.

Chapter 201
These people get to go home to their kids.
Their children get to grow up with their parents in wealth and luxury while I suffered as an orphan, without a home, without food to eat.
I hate them so much, and I should orphan their children too but I have to be smart. I need my inheritance back.
I took a step forward, and they all collectively took another step back.
“Miro, do something!” Mr. Caine’s shifty eyes rounded in fear as he was the closest to me and as I got closer, the urge to stab him became overwhelming.
“It’s, ‘Your Majesty‘ to you now, fool.” Miro answered. “Besides, whatever my Siryn wants, my Siryn gets and if she decides it’s all your heads on a platter, I’d be more than happy to oblige.
The members shared wary glances before Mr. Caine raised shaky arms towards me. “Please, I’ll give you anything, just spare my life. Don’t kill me!” He covered his head with his arms while his wife cowered as well.
I paused, my knife raised and ready to slaughter.
“You all disgust me.” My words came out in a snarl as I casted my gaze on the rest of them. “You all sat here, calmly discussing how you ruined my life and still have the nerve to ask for more! Why are you not satisfied?” I asked, but no response came. “ANSWER,ME YOU GREEDY BASTARDDSSSS!”
Some bodies jerked in fright while others shifted back further, just a foot.
“I hate you all!” I muttered bitterly, “especially you!” I pointed at Mr. Cresswell with my knife.
He visibly swallowed.
“I thought you were my friend,” I shook my head in disappointment, “but you’re just as sick as them.”
My feet moved in his direction. My other bloody hand tracing the edge of the conference table as I cocked my head to the side. “Did you ever stop to consider what Sadie would think? Huh?”
My hand snagged on a bottle of wine placed on the table.
“Answer me, you greedy four–eyed scumbag!” I grabbed the bottle and threw it at his feet. The sound of shattered glass filled the room and I watched as red liquid pooled on the floor, demarcated by tiny pieces of glass.
An idea went through my mind. “Remove your shoes.” I ordered and at first Mr. Cresswell frowned in confusion but then I swung my arm in a wide arch, catching his arm with my blade.
His wife whimpered as her husband bled but I couldn’t care less. Mr. Cresswell bent forward, removing his shoes.
“And the socks too.” I added and when all that was done, I motioned to the jagged jutting pieces of glass on the floor. “Stand
on it.”
Mr. Cresswell hesitated. “Ryn-”
“Did she stutter?” Miro interjected, his voice hard and threatening.
Mr. Cresswell heaved a breath before stepping onto the jagged glass.
I smiled as he winced, his blood seeping out from underneath.

Chapter 201
“Now answer me.” I swallowed.. “Sadie, is she in on this?”
“Gods, No.” Mr. Cresswell replied.
I nodded, feeling a tinge of relief.
“Is my friendship with her real?” I asked, remembering the day we met and how she offered me a sandwich after Bessie ruined the leftovers I planned to eat.
Looking back now it felt too…coincidental. Too last minute.
Silence settled and the sound of my heart hammering rushed in my ears.
“I don’t know.” He replied. “At first it wasn’t.”
My breath hitched.
“I know she would hate me for this but her friendship with you was manipulated by me. I was the one who gave her the idea that she could go to school at Lycantide High. And I knew she was being bullied at her former school so I calculated that by

My chest tightened.
“I know what I did was wrong and irredeamable.” He squeezed his eyes shut in pain. “.but I wanted to secure her future because I knew one day, reckoning would come for us all and I hoped in my heart of hearts that through it all, you wouldn’t have the heart hurt your best friend.”
Tears slid down my face as I stared at him in disgust. Even the frienship I hold so dear was a tactical decision. It was tainted. My heart weighed heavy with so much pain that I couldn’t afford to stay one more minute in their treacherous presence.
I swallowed, willing back my tears.
“Seven days.” Miro muttered behind me, and I turned to see him matching everyone’s stare with his arms folded across his chest. “I give you all seven days to return everything you took from Ryn, otherwise,…I will come for you all and believe me when I say that there will be no mountain high enough or hell deep enough that you can run to and I won’t find you.”
Mr. Cresswell hung his head with sigh, his blood mixing with the little pool of wine.
“Seven days.” I repeated to myself, then I turned and left the room.
