Chapter 191
RYN
Three days later, and I am sitting quietly in the car, my hands twisting in my lap as we arrived at the venue for the fight with Miro.
The air was thick with tension as Theon sat beside me, his jaw tight as he stared out the window.
About three cars arrived with us filled with security as they shut their vehicle, the silence in the parking lot became heavier.
MapleBees bar looked old but lively, with bright neon lights flickering outside. I tried not to look nervous, but my stomach felt like it was tied in knots.
“You look upset.” Theon mentioned.
I looked at him and planted a fake smile. “I’m fine. Let’s go.”
Theon nodded and was about to get out when his phone buzzed
He answered quickly, his deep voice sharp. I couldn’t hear everything, but I caught bits and pieces. Someone had been spotted. Someone dangerous.
When he hung up, he turned to me. His eyes, usually calm, were darker now. “It’s him,” he said, his voice low. “The man who .killed your attorneys.”
My heart stopped. “Who?” I whispered, even though I already knew.
He looked straight at me, his face hard. “Miro.”
The name hit me like a punch.
Miro. Theon’s own brother and my own mate.
The man who had his fingers inside me days ago.
My legs felt weak even though I was sitting. I didn’t know what to say, so I stayed quiet.
Theon’s hand brushed mine, and I looked at him. His face softened, just a little. “Let’s go,” he said.
We stepped out of the car, and he took my hand firmly, like he was afraid to let me go. His grip was strong, protective, and I held on tightly as we walked toward the bar.
Inside, the bar was noisy and chaotic. The lights were dim, and the smell of alcohol and sweat filled the air
Theon led the way, cutting through the crowd like he owned the place. I stayed close, feeling small in the sea of people. When we passed through a door, the sound of [] and shouting grew louder. My chest tightened as I realized what it was.
A cage fight.
I swallowed as the energy in the air felt wild, and almost dangerous.
A man in a bar uniform appeared and nodded at Theon. “This way, yout Highness.” he said, leading us through the thick crowd. People shoved and yelled, but Theon never let go of my hand.

Finally, we reached a quieter room which was basically one of the motel rooms. It was small, with a mirror on one wall and a bed on the other.
After the man left, Theon let go of my hand and walked to the mirror.
1, on the other hand, stayed near the door, feeling like I couldn’t move. My reflection in the mirror showed how pale I was, and I hated it.
Theon turned to look at me in the mirror. His eyes met mine, and for a moment, neither of us said anything. His face was calm, but I could see the storm underneath.
“I’m scared,” I whispered.
His jaw clenched, and he turned to face me fully. “Don’t be,” he said firmly. “I’ll be fine.”
But even as he said it, I could see something in his eyes.
Worry.
“Theon,” I whispered, my voice shaky, “you don’t have to do this. Miro.is too strong. What if…” I trailed off, unable to say it out loud.
He shook his head and stepped closer to me. “I’ll be fine,” he said firmly, his deep voice calm.
But I didn’t believe him. I could see the strain in his eyes, the weight he carried. He was lying…to me, and maybe even to himself.
When I didn’t respond, Theon sighed.
He walked over, his tall frame towering over me. Gently, he tilted my chin up with his fingers, forcing me to look at him. His touch was warm, soft even, but it didn’t ease the fear twisting inside me.
“I know you’re scared,” he said, his voice quieter now, almost tender. “And I understand. But I need you to trust me.”
I bit my lip, unsure how to respond.
Then he dropped his hand and took a step back. “I’ve been… preparing,” he admitted, hesitating. “I’ve had a blood diet to strengthen myself.”
The words hit me like a slap.
I blinked at him, not sure I heard him right. “A blood diet?”
He nodded, his expression serious.
I took a step away from him, anger bubbling inside me. “You’re a hypocrite!,” I snapped, my voice shaking
His eyes widened.
“You’ve been drinking animal blood and eating animal flesh,” I snapped. “But when I begged you to use my blood–to let me help you–you refused! Why? Because of your pride? Because you don’t want to rely on me?!”
Theon’s jaw tightened, but he didn’t respond. He turned his back to me and ran a hand through his hair, his fingers raking through the dark strands.
“You need help, Theon,” I continued, my voice softer now, but no less desperate. “This isn’t fair. Miro is stronger, and you know it. Stop being so stubborn and let me help you.”

He didn’t say anything for a moment. His shoulders were tense, and I could tell he was deep in thought.
Then, faintly, we heard the announcer’s voice booming from outside the room. “Ladies and gentlemen, the biggest cage fight of the century is about to begin! And for the first time, it’s battle between brothers!”
The crowd roared, their cheers muffled through the walls.
Theon turned to face me, his eyes meeting mine. For a long moment, neither of us spoke.
“Please.” I whispered, my voice breaking. “Please, let me help you”
His expression hardened. “Fine,” he said through gritted teeth.
Before I could react, he crossed the room in a flash. His hand wrapped around my throat–not tight enough to hurt, but firm enough to pin me against the wall. My heart raced as his eyes turned pitch black, like an endless void.
“I’ll use your blood,” he growled, his voice low and dangerous. “But only if I mark you.”
I stared at him, shocked. “Mark me?”
He nodded. “I’m strong enough now but this is how I want it.”
My chest heaved as I considered his words. Finally, I nodded. “Do it.”
His grip on my throat softened, as he leaned in close.
– Gently, he turned my head to the side, exposing the point where my neck and shoulder met. When his lips brushed against
my skin, kissing the spot softly, a small gasp escaped my lips.
Sparks danced through my body, leaving me breathless and as he nibbled on the area, my gasps turned into moans that came from the depth of my soul.
Then, without warning, his teeth sank into my neck. The sharp pain was like a shock to my system, and then a scream tore from my throat.
