Chapter 181
MIRO
The first thing I heard was the sound of beach waves, and when opened my eyes, I saw a beautiful dark haired girl sleeping
next to me.
I turned on my back and when I looked to the other side, I found another just as pretty dark–haired girl sleeping peacefully. Then I ran a hand over my shaved head, remembering what went down last night.
I had gone to a club as usual and these two extremely gorgeous twin girls had caught my attention.
Now, were they the only beauties who wanted my attention? No, but something about their silvery eyes did something to me, as if I knew someone with similar features but could not remember where I’d seen them.
Raising my left forearm, I stared at the image of a similar looking but more stunning woman tattooed on my wrist. She had eyes like storms and dark wavy hair that framed her perfect oval face, and the more I stared into her calm but stubborn looking face, the more I got the notion that she’s either a siren or some witch.
Yet, when I look below the image of her face, I am still puzzled why I tattooed the word, ‘Mine‘ under it. Was she my girlfriend? Past love? Mate?
One time, I asked my father if I had any past loves and he had said I had none. So who was she? And why is she the only other person tattooed on my body aside from my sister?
I sighed, trying to remember who she was or when I got this tattoo but I came up
blank.
According to my father, I lost my memory because my brother shot me in the neck, trying to kill me and I barely made it alive.
That’s why I can’t remember her and that…pisses me off.
I would have shown my father her tattoo but he has been busy in an unknown place and only communicated via phone or radio and whenever he came around, there was rarely anytime for chichat.
This time, I made up my mind. When he comes next, I’d ask him who the girl is. Maybe if he sees the tattoo, he would be able to tell me who she is.
One of the girls stirred and yawned before going back to sleep again. I watched her, realizing my choice in women is heavily influenced by the woman on my wrist.
I remembered bringing them home after a couple of drinks and some flirting, and although the sex was good, I still felt weird.
Letting out a sigh, I let my eyes glaze over to the ocean in the distance.
Something is missing and I don’t know what.
All I know is that according to my dad, I have lived on this island in the East Kingdom for the past five years, doing military work. I have an estranged twin brother who tried to kill me because he was under the influence of a very bad woman, and when it’s time, I will be coming home to take the throne.
I seriously cannot wait for that day to come. Maybe that’s why I am so bored out of my mind.
Sitting up in bed, I bit back a groan as pain sliced through my head.
Fuck. I hate hangovers yet I wonder why I drink. I really need to stop.

Chapter 181
Easing myself gently out of bed, I headed for the bathroom and when I caught my reflection in the mirror, I paused.
Splayed and curved across my collarbone, in giant, bold letters were the words, “BROTHERS FIRST!”
Immediately, I got flashes of my mother on a death bed, forcing us to make a promise. And one of my brother reciting the phrase to me. I gripped my head in pain and frustration.
What an irony.
Now, that same brother did not hesitate to shoot me in the neck, all because of the bad influence from his mate.
I curled my hands into fists.
I should get rid of this tattoo.
I don’t want to be reminded of how I put my brother first and got betrayed, but before that, I am going to find his evil mate and I am going to kill her…for fun.
Suddenly, my ears picked up on the buzzing of my phone, so I went back to the room and retrieved it from a nightstand.
The moment I looked at the caller ID, excitement coursed through me.
“Hi Dady I greeted, keeping my tone neutral as I walked out of the room out onto the beach.
“Hello, son.” came the gravelly voice of my father. “How eager are you to come back home?”
I paused in my steps, every fiber of my being alert. “Very eager, sir.”
“Attaboy.” He chuckled. “I’ll send a chopper. Be ready in the next hour.”
A small smile curved my lips as I imagined my revenge plan. “You bet.”
In three hours, I was flying over the beautiful kingdom of the West and shortly after, I landed on villa.

Coming down, I was greeted by Dutton and a couple other guys who were in uniform, and afterwards, I was led into an elevator which took me down the house.
Once we arrived, I saw my father standing in the midst of a large, luxurious living room while a blonde lady sat on one of the couches.
“My son!” My father opened his arms wide with a grin and I entered his embrace with one of mine.
“Good to see you, Dad.” I said, feeling his pat on my back.
We pulled apart, and I studied the wrinkles starting to line his face and the silvers in his hair and beard. He placed a hand on my shoulder and beamed at me in pride. “Welcome back. Please, sit.” He motioned to the couches and I once again caught sight of the blonde girl with green eyes smiling at me.
I looked away and chose another seat instead.
“So, how was your ride?” My father asked.
“Spectacular.” I replied. “I had no idea the West was this beautiful”
“Of course it is.” My father replied, crossing one leg over the other. “I put forty hard years into this kingdom. It is my legacy.”

“And it’s a legendary one at that, my King.” The blonde interjected, bowing her head.
I glanced at my father, expecting him to be irritated but to my surprise, he smiled a toothy grin at her.
“Thank you, dear.” He replied, before turning to me. “Do you know her?” My father nodded his head towards the blonde, and I frowned.
There was something about the intensity in his eyes that made the realize that there was more to this question.
I looked at the girl who smiled at me, then I slowly shook my head. “No. I don’t. Who is she?”
My father stared at me for a moment before sighing in relief, and with one look at her, he nodded his head towards me. “This is a beautiful, intelligent girl that has been selected and trained to be your future Luna.”
I blinked in surprise. Luna?
The blonde smiled and got to her feet, and then she catwalked my way.
“Hi.” She stretched forth her hand. “Nice to meet you.”
I ignored her, facing my father. “I don’t do blondes.”
“I can dye my hair to whatever color you want.” The blonde replied, and I looked at her again, seeing her desperation to please.
“What’s your name?”
She smiled. “Bessie. My name is Bessie Crow and I am going to make you very happy.”
