Chapter 176
RYN
For the first time in my life, I was finally at the main Elite force Headquarters dressed in some jeans and black t–shirt, gotten from the hotel I lodged in.
It was past two am and Adam had been tapping into street cameras trying to trace Miro’s whereabouts.
Eventually, we saw where he crashed and how he seemed injured or battling some pain in his head. Then to my dismay, I watched him destroy a car and flip it over like it weighed nothing
I glanced at Theon, who stood tall and powerful with his arms crossed, watching everything and we all witnessed some men dressed in black, shoot some tranq darts at Miro.
He didn’t even have a fighting chance. He went down easily and when what seemed to be the leader of the team approached, Theom asked Adam to pause and zoom in.
My blood boiled with anger when I saw Finnegan Windermere yet again, standing over his helpless son
What is with this man and his constant obsession with his sons?
I looked at Theon, whose face was blank and devoid of emotion
guess the serum worked.” I stated, and Theon glanced at me.
“What serum?”
Fuck. He didn’t know.
Adam and I shared a glance before I narrated what went down to him, and as I did so, Theon went from emotionless to scary within a few minutes.
“Why didn’t you tell me?” His voice hardened, making my wolf shiver.
“I thought…” My voice trailed off. “You were not feeling good. I thought I’d wait till you were stronger.”
Theon ground his jaw. “Just because my wolf is weak doesn’t mean I can’t handle any situation, Ryn!”
“I am sorry!” I blurted out, trying not to feel intimidtated by him right now or hurt by his change in demeanor.
Theon had every right to be pissed. I just didn’t want to be on the receiving end.
Theon shook his head, and ran a hand through his hair while Adam folded his arms in silence. “And you?” Theon faced Adam. “You should have informed me.”
I quickly ran between them. “He was not there when you woke up, if you need to blame anyone, blame me!” I faced him, and the room went silent.
“Ryn.” Adam called.
“Please give us some space.” I clipped, and I felt him hesitate but with a nod from Theon he left the premises.
Now it was just us too.
“If I had known, I wouldn’t have let him leave.” Theon stated quietly, matching my gaze.

“You didn’t try enough!” Theon raised his voice, turning from re
And what would you have had me do?!” I queried. “Tie him down or knock him out? You know your brother and how stubborn he can be.”
Theon moved his head from side to side and sighed. Then he turned around and his face was emotionless again..
“Fine.” He said, moving away from me but I followed behind.
Shortly after, we were in an armoury filled with guns, knives and many weapons I have never seen before. Theon began to pick some weapons off the rack and load them.
“What are you doing?” I asked.
“What does it look like?” Theon snapped. “I’m going to save my brother.” He said and walked out on me, but still, I followed. Suddenly the doors opened and dozens of men filed in, including Adam, dressed to the nines and holding their weapons.
Before I could say anything, Theon faced them.
“Gentlemen, you all know being an Elite warrior is all about fighting on the right side of truth, and for the longest time, I believed my father embodied that until he shot me in the chest and has now kidnapped my brother, your Director.”
The crowd glanced at each other in surprise.
“Today, I will be sending a clear message to my father and anyone who is not comfortable with fighting alongside me for justice and for righteousness can step out and nothing will be held against them.”
Silence settled on the entire room and as time passed, not a single soul left.
My jaw almost dropped in awe.
Theon nodded in pride. “Thank you for your faith in me, brothers. Together, we’ll make the West great again.”
“HURRAH!” The men roared and shortly after they all filed out with their weapons. Theon moved to follow and I grabbed a belt filled with bullets and tied it around my waist, ready to go.
“Whoa. Whoa. Whoa.” Theon stopped me, “where do you think you’re going?”
“With you.” I answered like it was obvious.
“You’re not going anywhere. I am going to save Miro, I can’t worry
about you too.”
of myself and I was the one who saved you and Miro. So excuse me.” “You don’t need to. Last time I checked, I can take care of I walked past him, but Theon held my arm and pulled me back.
“You’re not going, Ryn.”
Anger sparked in my bones. “Says who?” I stepped up to him, and his blue eyes turned to ice.
“Says your fucking Commander!” He growled.
Shit! He pulled rank.
“Theon, please.” I pleaded, softening my voice. “Miro means a lot to me.”
Theon scoffed. “Yeah, right. With the way you both fight, I’m sure he does.”

Theon sighed and I could see the strain of fatigue in his features I need to save my brother and have an army waiting for me Whatever this is,” he motioned between us, ‘1 will deal with later”
His words felt like a slap and when he turned and left the room. I felt embarrassed.
I swallowed, counting to ten, then I left the room too.
By the time I got outside, cars were already leaving the premises but luckily for me. Theon’s car was just about to mô
Racing to it. I opened the passenger seat and id in, and before Theon could say a word, I raised my forefinger up to silence him. “Whatever this is?” I motioned between us. “we will deal with it later. You want to save your brother. I want to save my mate, so let’s work together…..your Highness.” I finished, staring him in the eye.
Theon glared at me, before looking away and I sighed in relief as the car moved.
Hours later, after taking captive the security at the main gate, we drove about a mile into the King’s estate. Then we showed up at a grand mansion with all the lights on, making it even more grand.
Theon looked at me, his gaze sharp, focused, leaving no room for error or argument. “You stay with me at all times, got it?
I nodded once. “Got it.”
And with that, we both came down from the car.
I noticed all the other warriors had moved into position and under Theon’s orders, the crew moved in, breaking down doors, and taking down random security with tranquilizers.
After the coast was clear, Theon and I entered the house, and we found Adam with some others surrounding some woman in a maid uniform. She looked scared and terrified as she knelt, looking at us all.
“My Prince.” She bowed, her body trembling.
“Where’s my father, Rosa?”
She shook her head. “I have no idea your Highness, all I know is that the King hasn’t been back since he travelled to the South.”
I frowned at her statement, looking Theon’s way.
“Of course.” Theon muttered. “He knows I’d come for my brother.” He slid his hands in his pockets. “How many people are in this house?”

“About three dozen servants?‘
Theon turned to Adam, “Make sure every single soul is out of this house in the next two hours.”
Adam nodded and he left with two dozen men.
Theon on the other hand turned around and left the house.
Confused, I followed after him.
“So what now?” I asked, as we watched people rush out of the building, while the cool morning breeze carried our hairs around.
Theon sighed, staring at the building. “Now, I make a statement. He replied, and I decided it would be best to watch and see for myself.
About two hours later, when the morning light was starting to pierce through the darkness, Adam came out with the last of his men and jogged towards us.
“Commander,” He said, not even breathless. “Every single person is out. So what’s next?”
“Simple.” Theon replied. “Set fire to the house and burn it to the ground.”
