Chapter 172
RYN
“M–Miss Ashmore.” He said, and then his eyes shifted away before coming back to me. “Uh..good to see you.” He bowed his head once and wondered where that came from.
“Likewise, Healer Kwan.” I gave him a warm sinile and I think he had expected me to be hostile, but how can I do that when the poor guy almost lost his life because of me?
His brows raised up in surprise, and then he smiled back.
My eyes strayed to Theon, laying shirtless in bed, with a clean, new bandage around his left chest and my smile faltered.
“Is he going to be okay?” I asked, approaching the bed and sitting by his body so I could take Theon’s hand in mine.
“Depends on how fast he responds to the stuff I gave him. It could take days, though.”
At that, my head snapped to the Healer who had a solemn look on his face. “Prince Theon did not have time to heal properly from his ordeal with Chelsea and then he got shot at close range…twice.”
My eyes widened in surprise. “Who shot him?”
“Uncle Finn.” Sadie said, and I could tell she was pissed.
“He’s lucky he survived that. He shouldn’t even be alive.” Healer Kwan continued. “I don’t know any person who has had this many close encounters with death before and still has the will to live. He has the strongest spirit I have ever seen.”
The awe in his voice made that overwhelming feeling rush to the surface again, so I looked away and instead placed Theon’s hand to my trembling lips.
Of course, my mate has a powerful spirit. Theon is one of the strongest people I know and I hope he pulls through this time.
Eventually, the Healer left with his crew and after that, Sadie and I went downstairs where she gave me ‘The Gist‘ and made me a sandwich.
Then, it was time for her to go home, so we shared a hug and afterwards, I was left alone in the living room.
Yawning to myself, I realized I hadn’t had a good night’s rest since the incident with Billie. So, I went back upstairs to my room, hoping to find some old clothes to change into.
I couldn’t find any, so I crossed over to the twin’s side of the bedroom.
My intention was to go to Theon’s room to find something to wear, but I ended up in front of Miro’s room.
Taking a deep breath, I knocked and shortly after; I heard the soft padding of footsteps before the door was yanked open.
Now, I was prepared for Miro’s cold green gaze, but what I wasn’t prepared for was his shirtless tattooed body dressed in nothing but sweatpants that hung low on his waist.
My breathing came in heavy pants as I saw the faint bulge of what I think could be a large dick and suddenly my mouth went dry.
“Eyes up here, Ryn.” Miro said, and my face burned as I realized I was caught staring at his member.
There was a flicker of amusement in his eyes, but in a blink, it was gone. Then he arched a perfectly trimmed brow, and I suddenly remembered why I was here.

Chapter 172
“I uhm…” My voice trailed off as his bare chest made my wolf fritic, which, in turn, interfered with my train of thought.
“You what?”
“…uh.. shirt.” I blurted out, training my eyes on the ceiling. “Do you have a shirt I can borrow?”
Without a word, Miro went back into his room and shortly after he came out with a black t–shirt.
“Thanks.” I said, finally meeting his eyes, and he gave me a once over look from head to toe in a sultry manner.
“You’re welcome.” He said, and then he closed his door in my face.
I nodded to myself and exhaled deeply as I turned to Theon’s room and after collecting my thoughts; I went in. Going straight to the shower, I quickly undressed, and after having my bath, I changed into Miro’s shirt and climbed into Theon’s massive bed.
Since he was laid face up, I slowly and carefully lifted his arm so could lie down and I didn’t expect how heavy Theon’s arm would be.
With some effort, I was finally able to snuggle my body into his side and then I stared at his gorgeous, slim face.
Theon has lost weight again, but he got even prettier.
Sliding some strands of hair out of his face, I came to the conclusion that getting thinner gives Theon a boyish look while adding some weight with muscle makes him look like a yummy daddy.
Then my face burned again at my own thoughts and I shook my head as I smiled at how ridiculous my thoughts were. Leaning upwards, I kissed his cheek and then his lips before laying my head gently on him and placing my arm across his massive body.
As I drifted to sleep, thoughts of Miro crossed my mind and I wished he wouldn’t be so standoffish with me.
But I get it.
I think I’d be upset too if I found out I had to share Theon with someone.
The jealousy would kill me. So I understand, and I am willing to give Miro some breathing space.
I had no idea when I slept off but when I opened my eyes; it was dark outside and dark in the room as well, but suddenly the hairs at the back of my neck rose when I realized Theon and I were not alone.
My breath hitched, and immediately I reached for my gun on the nightstand before pointing it at the figure standing in the dark.
“Relax, it’s me,” said Miro’s voice and as he stepped into the moonlight, I saw the haunted look on his face.
Immediately, I lowered my arm. “Are you okay?” I asked, in concern.
Miro hesitated, and then he winced as if he had a nasty headache.
“Not really.” He answered. “Can we talk?”
