Not long after that, Ryland heard his father rendering words of encouragement and saying that all thins would be. He tried moving his body, but he could not do it as his body was weak and he could not feel parts of it.
He could not remember what had happened, well, at least a chunk of his memory was missing, and the more he tried to think, the more in pain he was, and it hurt his head.

Just then, Ryland quickly woke up from his slee[, only to realize that he had been dreaming the entire time. That time six years ago when the accident had occurred, a time that he hated remembering. Ryland quickly sat up, realizing that he in bed with Amanda. His decision to sneak out of the house early in the hours of the morning, only to find that when he returnedm Amanda was already waiting for him, and even though she had asked him repeatedly where he had gone, Ryland refused to say a word. Realizing that Ryland would not respond to her, she had gone to sleep angry.
His conversation with Sofie had been unfruitful, with Sofie wanting him at any cost and she had refused to take the money that Ryland had offered her. She had it set in her mind that she would have Ryland at all cost, this sending him into a much deeper turmoil..
He turned to his side and realized that Amanda was already up and looking at him and saying nothing, a clear indication to Ryland that she was still upset with him. She watched quietly asRyland inhaled and exhaled as a way to clear his mind.

“Do not worry; we will get through all this, okay? The truth will come out, and everyone will see Sof”ie for who she truly is. Amanda said, in a soft voice, trying her best to assure Ryland that all would be well, but deep down, things seemed so far from okay.
In the living room, Ryland was thrilled to find that the rest of his family had already begun conversations with his lawyer on ways to go about this accusation from Sofie. Both Ryland and Amanda walked down the stairs and sat down in the living room, listening to the different tactics that they were about to use. That was before the TV came on with the breaking news sign and Ryland’s name written close by.
Ryland quickly took hold of Amanda’s hand as a way to reassure her that all would be okay. One look into his eyes, and Amanda felt that she could trust Ryland with her life, so she flashed a light smile at him.
The entire family watched the news, and all of them were tense before images of Sofie having an interview with a reporter explaining that Ryland Scorpio was responsible for her unborn child, and when asked what evidence she had, a multitude of pictures appeared on the screen of both Ryland and Sofie embracing one another in the car in Bali, with dates matching the exact time that both Ryland and Amanda were together on their honeymoon.
Almost immediately, Amanda let go of Ryland’s hand, looking at him with a shocked expression on her face. However Ryland did not look back at his pregnant wife as he was embarrassed that he had been caught out.
