Without knocking. Amanda had carelessly entered Ryland’s office, and just as she entered, she paused. Looking in between Hannah and Ryland, Amanda was left confused. She had spoken to Ryland a while ago, and not once had he mentioned that Hannah was inside his office, Hannah was a woman that Amanda despised deeply, especially based on how she had treated. Amanda when she first started working for Ryland at his office.
“Good afternoon, Amanda. It’s such a nice pleasure to meet you and see you again. Hannah said happily, but anyone who knew Hannah the pickup on the undertones of nervousness, Amanda, did not acknowledge her once. She simply looked from her to her husband before smiling lightly, but deep down, she wanted nothing more than two questions, right along with what Hannah was doing in the office.
To her surprise, Ryland wakled around his office desk towards her, kissed her lightly on the lips before stepping back and looking into her eyes.” I was waiting for you. You took a little too long,” he said in a sweet voice, and from his periferal vision, he saw that Hannah was reddening with anger.
In Hannah’s mind, she viewed Ryland as hers, and even though he had a wife and she did not see any of that. All Hannah saw was that Amanda as nothing more than a thief who stole Ryland away from her.
“I guess I have to leave. I will no longer be bothering the two of you,” Hannah said before walking out of Ryland’s office, very much disappointed by the romance between Amanda and Ryland. Although Ryland had been smiling at the time when Hannah was in his office, when he turned his attention back to his attention back to Amanda who was not smilling. Her reaction made Ryland roll his eyes as he realised what Amanda was thinking.
“There is nothing going on between Hannah and myself. You know, I get easily annoyed by her.” he responded.
“Honestly, I haven’t said anything like that. I simply looked at you and wondered why Hannah was in your office. The last time she was here. Looking at it, it sounds strange,” Amanda responded before throwing her hands in the air, acknowledging that Hannah had indeed disrupted the tranquility that once existed in Ryland’s office.
“You do not need to worry about Hannah; she came to do what Hannah always does.”
“What exactly does Hannah always do?” Amanda raised a questionable eyebrow, wondering exactly what Hannah had come to do in her husband’s office. In that moment, Ryland wanted nothing more than to lie in Amanda’s face, but he knew that she was too smart to fall for any lies or tricks, and he therefore had to tell her the truth.
“Well, she came here thinking that she could have one more chance with me, but I obviously told her that I have a wife, and hopefully this time she understood it.” Ryland was replied to Amanda, who batted her eyelashes and not long, Ryland smiled as a way to reassure her. “There’s no need for us to worry about Hannah. I believe that she’s gone for good. Hopefully, she’ll learn to take a loss.”
“Yeah, hopefully she can”. Amanda repeated. The idea of Hannah finally leaving Ryland alone. The thought of her fighting of more women beside Hanna and Sofie was becoming mentally exhausting for Amanda.
“You need to stop worrying about these women. I have no interest in them. The only thing that interests me is you and the arrival of our wonderful daughter,” Ryland said, while resting his hand on Amanda’s swollen belly before looking deep into her eyes. Seeing the joy and love in the Ryland’s eyes was enough to assure Amanda that she was to be taken care of. “Now enough with these unpleasant conversations. We have lunch to get to, don’t we?” He asked Amanda, who nodded her head, and in no time, Amanda was walking hand in hand with Ryland as they exited his office, and they were on their way out for lunch as planned earlier. Ryland was thankful that their lunch date was not ruined by Hannah’s visit.
Just as Ryland unlocked the front door of the main building and stepped out, they were met with hordes of reporters flinging their microphones and flashlights from their cameras blinded both Amanda and Ryland.
“Mr Scorpio, is it true that you and Sophie have been having an affair with one another?”
“Mr. Scorpio, is it true that you have fathered a child with Sofie even though you are already married and have a child on the way?” Another reporter yelled. Upon hearing this, the questions rang a bell in Ryland’s head as he quickly realized what was happening to them, but before he could think of himself, he turned his attention to Amanda, who was been pushed side to

The scandle had come unexpected and neither of them knew how todea with it, but they knew that together they could face all the challenges in front of them.
What are you up to, Sofie. Ryland repeatedly thought to himself as he thought of ways in which he could counter Sophie’s plan before she could even make a move and destroy the marriage that he had worked so hard to build with Amanda.
“Are you okay?” Amanda questioned him, to which Ryland snapped out of his own mind, turned his head to Amanda, and smiled.
“I’m okay. I just want us to get home and know that we are safe. He responded while hiding a bulk of his emotions internally.
