Chapter 7 Strange Reason
When Priscilla rented a place for Madalyn, she also rented the one opposite, where she kept some things left by her master.
She was in an emergency now and the small apartment became her refuge.
She never thought of going back home. If her father knew about that, he would immediately send
her back.
Putting down her luggage, she felt an indescribable fatigue surged up. She instantly fell asleep on the bed.
She slept until evening. When she woke up, she felt lazy and didn’t want to move.
It had been a long time since she had felt so relaxed. Over the pas
past three years of marriage, she ad been deeply immersed in self–doubt, which had taken a toll on her. No matter what she did, she couldn’t gain the approval of Dawson and his family.
She was too foolish.
She sacrificed herself to please others but that only made others think that she was cheap. There was a knock on the door. She quickly got up. She looked through the peephole and saw Holly, who was carrying two bags of vegetables.
She opened the door and let Holly in, Thanks a lot. You bought groceries after school.” Holly noticed the box on the ground and her expression became serious. “Priscilla, did you have an argument with your husband?”
Priscilla gently smiled and said, “We are getting divorced.”
Holly was stunned for a moment, then exclaimed happily, “Really?”
“You want me to get divorced?”
“Of course, he’s not good to you. My mom said you never smiled after getting married. Priscilla was very surprised. She thought she had concealed her emotions well, but she didn’t expect that Madalyn had already noticed the clues.
Her heart ached. Hot tears uncontrollably fell down.
Holly thought Priscilla was sad because of the divorce, so she hurriedly hugged Priscilla and “Priscilla, don’t cry. You will definitely find someone better in the future. If you like yourfger ones, you can come to my school. No, there are too many playboys among art students. Find ne in Polytechnic University next door.”
Priscilla wiped away her tears and laughed. “You are thoughtful. Why don’t yourself?”

Chapter 2 Strange Reason
Dawson worked for two days and one night before returning home. He was busy. He was physically and mentally exhausted. All he wanted was to take a shower and get a good night’s sleep.
He pushed open the door and found that the living room was still in a mess, which made him. furrow my brows.
He thought, “Priscilla went too far this time. I just blame her but she got angry and refused to tidy up the house.”
Kicking the ball aside, he sat on the sofa and raised his hand to unbutton his shirt.
“Priscilla, pour me a glass of water.”

In the past, no matter how late he came home, Priscilla would come to him right after he was about. She would express her care for him, get him water, and cook for him. He sometimes found her annoying since she was too attentive.
Where was she now?
She was still angry?
He cleared his throat and decided to give her another chance.
He unbuttoned another button, revealing his strong chest, and then he spoke, “Priscilla, come here.”
The villa was empty and echoing only with his own voice.
Dawson suddenly realized that something was wrong.
He stood up and was about to go upstairs to check when, because he was in a hurry, his knee accidentally bumped into the coffee table.
He instinctively lowered his head and noticed a document on the coffee table. He immediately noticed the title of the document.
“Divorce Agreement.”
Dawson’s eyebrows twitched, and he immediately picked it up..
“The applicant, Priscilla Herrera, wants to get a divorce due to Dawson Griffith’s poor healthand unclear sexual orientation. The compensation needs to be 1.5 million dollars. He quickly finished the document and saw Priscilla sign her name at the end. He frowned. She really wanted a divorce?
Whether it was due to anger or something else, his fingers were trembling slightly. He took out a cigarette from his pants pocket, shook it out, and placed it between his lips. With his other hand, he reached for a lighter, but instead of lighting the cigarette, he ignited the divorce agreement.
The red flames leaped and quickly consumed the white paper. Dawson lit a cigarette and threw it into the ashtray, watching it slowly turn into ashes.
The pale blue smoke entwined and outlined the sinister smile on his face. He took out his phone and dialed the number at the top of the call log without even looking at it.

The phone rang only once, and then the call was connected.
His smile became bigger. He knew that she must be waiting for his call. Licking his dry lips, he waited for Priscilla to speak first.
“Hello, Mr. Griffith, what can I do for you?”
Dawson was shocked and speechless.
He looked at his phone and it turned out that he had dialed the number of his assistant, Pablo Fletcher.
How could it be? Priscilla would make dozens of phone calls to him every day. She called him the most times every day.
His hand holding the phone tightened. He suddenly realized that Priscilla hadn’t called him in the
ast few days.
“Mr. Griffith? Mr. Griffith.”
Dawson snapped back to reality and casually said a few words before hanging up the phone.
Over there, Pablo was confused and couldn’t sleep, wondering what Dawson meant. Dawson finished smoking a cigarette before he angrily dialed Priscilla’s phone number. He only breathed a sigh of relief when he heard her cold voice coming from the other end of the phone.
He didn’t make a mistake this time.
“Priscilla, where were you?”
Priscilla was eating. She put down the fork and walked to the balcony before saying lightly,
“Outside.”
The answer was simple but sounded hateful, Dawson tightened his grip on the lighter in his hanti and asked, “What does that divorce agreement mean?”
“Literally. Haven’t you read it all? If there’s anything unsatisfactory, you can make modifications.” “Priscilla, I want to ask you about the divorce reason. What does that mean?” Dawson was now hungry, thirsty, and exhausted. His patience had reached its limit.
Priscilla lowered her eyes and looked at the trash in the corner. “We’ve been married for free years. But except
for living in the same house, we never did anything more intimate. Are we really a normal couple?”
So, this was the reason.
Dawson smiled. His smile looked sinister but charming under the light, “We had sex once? You weren’t satisfied?”
Priscilla was amused, “Are you talking about the time when you were drugged? Dawson, we had sex one time in three years and you were drugged. I really don’t know if it’s because of your poor health or your sexual orientation. Fortunately, you have a son now, so don’t hurt any girls.”
“Priscilla!”
Priscilla did not give him the opportunity to vent, and forcefully pressed the hang–up button. Bawson, with a dark face, looked at the ashes in front of him and kicked the table with his foot.

The ashtray trembled and the ashes inside floated up, like this marriage, ending with nothing After Priscilla finished the call, she felt as if she had thrown all the garbage into the trash can, and she felt refreshed.
She suddenly felt something cold on her fingertips. Holly handed her a glass of juice. “Priscilla, good job. I feel satisfied.”
Priscilla raised an eyebrow, “You heard everything?”
“No, no,” Holly shook her head vigorously, but couldn’t help but ask with a sly smile, “So, is Dawson impotent or does he have orientation issues?”
Priscilla didn’t know what to say.
That night, Priscilla slept in Holly’s room. The two talked all night and only fell asleep in the early
orning.
But she didn’t sleep for long, as the urgent ringing of her phone woke her up.
