Chapter 5
THIRD PERSON POV
She didn’t know whether to feel happy or angry.
She’d woken up this morning and didn’t find Serena in the room waiting on her as usual.
Anger boiled in her gut, the useless girl was no good. She knew better than to not do her duties.
Amelia got out of bed, marching out of her room to give her the scolding of her life.
When she didn’t find her in the kitchen, she went to look for her in the room. She lives in the basement and she hated coming down here.
It was dark, cold and disgusting. It also smelled but for the sake of getting Serena into trouble, she didn’t mind it.
“Where is this stupid bitch” She asked herself.
She spent the next ten minutes walking around the house without finding her. She eventually got tired and let it go, going to prepare herself for the day.
She hates the fact that she has to run her bath herself and bring her food to her room. Even though there were maids, she wanted Serena to do it.
So when she saw her sneaking into the house that night, she didn’t spare her.
Pregnant? She thought to herself.
How could she be pregnant? She knew it wasn’t for her husband. They were together within the time frame of her pregnancy so it has to be some lowly pig.
Of course, what classy man would want anything to do with her But then again, she didn’t like it because that would mean that Serena would give birth before her.
She wanted to be the one to have a kid first. After all, she was better than her at everything so why would Serena give before her
She had to do something about it. That baby couldn’t be born, she couldn’t allow it.
So she didn’t hesitate to tell her brother about it. He returned a couple of days ago and she was presently in the room.
Her mother was speaking to him when she entered.
“Murn, you won’t believe what happened.”
No one paid attention to her. Her mother and brother were in aeated argument.
“Mother, you’re not listening to me. I’m telling you that you can tell me what to do.
They were almost at each other’s throats.
“I’m not trying to do that. I’m just trying to help out. You’re a grown man and you’re not showing any signs of getting married. I want to carry my grandkids, Dimitri.”
Dimitri was tired of talking about this.

matchmaker?”
His mother had set him up for a date with one of her friends‘ dighters and he hated it. The last time, he had sent some weird girl who was into feet and it had taken a lot to get her off s back.
“Aileen is a wonderful girl. She’s beautiful, friendly and most of all, her father is an Alpha too
He rolled his eyes
“I don’t care if she’s the Moon goddess. Stop sending women to me. Please! I’m sick of it.”
Amelia just stood there and watched the drama. She was used to the both of them arguing and she couldn’t say a word about
“No. I’m not going to stop doing my best as your mother to see that you end up with a good and responsible girl. When you
be do that and you give me grandkids, then I will let you
“Amelia is married. Bother her! She’s the one interested in giving birth.”
Her mother looked at her. Now that she thought about it, her mother had never spoken to her about grandkids. It was like after the marriage, she lost interest in her.
“Why did you come here? Do you have something to say?”
Finally having the stage, she engaged her mother in the gossip.
Mum, you won’t guess what happened.”
She wasn’t in the mood for this. She needed to go back to shouting at her son
“Just speak already.”
“I caught Serena with something today and you’ll never guess what it is
No one said anything as they waited for her to make her point.
“Well, I saw her with a doctor’s report. She’s pregnant.”
Her mother first took a deep breath.
“What did you say?”
“You heard me, mum, she’s pregnant. I saw the test results. She’s two weeks pregnant.”
Her mother couldn’t speak. She just tried to make sense of what he was hearing.

“Yeah, I asked her about it and she couldn’t give me an answer. I’m sure it’s one of those useless men she’s always running around with”
Her mother’s frown deepened.
“You’ve seen her with men?”
“Of course I have.”
She hadn’t. In fact, she had never seen her speaking to anyone outside the house but right now, she has to do everything she can to make sure that she gets her out of the house.
She didn’t want Serena close to her husband in any way. They may be married but he and Serena were still mates and she didn’t want to take any chances. She was afraid of what might happen.
Also, she just wanted her out of the house.
“Most of the time, she doesn’t sleep at home and I often see her sneaking in in the morning. She does it a lot but I couldn’t say anything because I didn’t want it to seem like I had an issue with her. Besides, she threatened me.
The lies just kept coming out of her mouth without restraints.
It was Alpha Dimitri that spoke up this time
She did?”
“Yes, she did. she said she would make my life hell if I ever said anything and that she’d put poison in my food if she got into trouble for it but I can’t keep quiet anymore. She’s pregnant this time around.”
Serena was going to be punished by every means possible.
She and that bastard child of hers were going to be thrown out of the house. She wanted Serena’s father to know about it so that he could tell her to abort it or better still, disown her.
“Where is she?”
She noticed that her brother’s voice had changed and she was happy but she hid it.
“I don’t know. I haven’t seen her around. She’s probably with one of her usual customers. I hear they pass her around”
Alpha Dimitri’s blood boiled. How dare she threaten his sister?
