Chapter 30
THIRD PERSON POV
Alpha Dimitri was fumming. He couldn’t understand how a person would be so disgusting. If he had known that this was the kind of animal that his sister was getting married to, he would have our a stop to it when he could.
But he didn’t know, and now he was tormenting Serena.
He held onto his collar again and pulled him close.
I won’t say it again. Kane. Stay away from her. Don’t even look her, or else I’ll take your eyes out and give it to the baby she’s carrying when he’s born. Don’t try-”
“What’s going on here?” His mother’s voice interrupted them.
Alpha Kane sighed in relief that he had been rescued from the beatings. He knew that now, he would have his mother–in–law and wife on his side, and they would make Serena suffer for it.
Where Alpha Dimitri stood, he rolled his eyes, knowing what would happen next, and he wasn’t ready for it.
Amelia was shocked at the sight of her husband’s bleeding nose,
“What happened?!”
Aloha Kane couldn’t say anything, all he did was look at Alpha Dimitri.
His mother started her rant.
“Dimitri, what’s going on here? Why did you attack him? Look at his nose!”
“I don’t want to say anything. I have nothing to say.”
He wasn’t in the mood to speak to her or explain himself to her. He had already done what he had in mind, and nothing would take it back, so there was nothing to say. He just wished they would leave him alone.
He turned to walk away but his mother held him back.
“Dimitri, wait. “Why would you do this to your sister’s husband? He’s your brother–in–law, you realize that, right?”
Aloha Dimitri didn’t recognize this bastard as his brother–in–law. He saw him as a mistake that wouldn’t have happened if he had looked more into his background. He has no idea that Alpha Kane and Serena have a past.
He asked Alpha Kane.
“Do you want to tell her what happened or should I?”
Aloha Kane knew he couldn’t speak because as long as Alpha Dimitri was here, he couldn’t twist the story into something else and he also wished that Alpha Dimitri wouldn’t say anything either.
“Why do you always do this? Why do you treat me like this? I know you hate me, but do you have to extend that hatred to my husband, too?”
Alpha Dimitri hates it when Amelia plays the victim card. They didn’t have a very good relationship. Due to his departure at a very young age, they didn’t grow up together or have time to bond.
She carried that
anger
till and estrangement

Chapter 80
“That’s not what this best and you know it.”
Alpbs Kane knew an opening when he saw one and this was a very good one. Using the fact that they had diverted attention away from him, he said
1 should have known I was not welcome in this family. How insulting!”
He walked away, leaving them there and Alpha Dimitri couldn’t believe he had the guts to do this act like he had been abused.
Alpha Dimitri could feel their eyes on him, hoping for an explanation.
“Don’t ask me any questions because I won’t answer. If you want to know anything, you can ask your stupid son–in–law, and you can ask your stupid husband.”
He knew his words hurt Amelia but since it was concerning that toad, he didn’t care.
“If you weren’t the Alpha, I would have slapped you so hard right now. How can you say such a thing about him? He’s my son–in–law, and he’s not stupid! How would you feel if someone insulted and disrespected you that way, Dimitri?! He’s an Alpha and you should treat him as one. It’s not fair. He’s also your brother–in–law!”
All these things didn’t matter to him. It was obvious they had already taken sides and he didn’t want to banter words with them.
So he walked away, leaving them there.
Amelia felt at a loss for words. The ebay thing to do was check on her husband to see if he would tell her what happened because deep down, she knew that her brother didn’t go around hitting people for the fun of it.
She entered the room to meet him lacing back and forth and fuming like a bull ready to charge.
“Kane, calm down. It’s going to be okay.”
She tried to touch him but he wouldn’t let her.
“Okay?! I came here because of you only to meet with disrespect! It’s all your fault, your brother doesn’t like me because of you.”
Amelia didn’t understand how that was a fault of hers but she just played along.
“Calm down. Tell me what happened so I would understand better. I can’t do anything if you don’t tell me what happened.” The fact that her brother wasn’t saying anything either left her at a loss because she needed to know what happened so that she would know how to speak to her mother to reprimand her brother.
But Alpha Kane kept avoiding the question. Why won’t he? He didn’t have anything to say and blaming her seemed easier. “What has that got to do with anything?! I’m telling you your brother disrespected me and you’re asking stupid questions. It’s all my fault, maybe I shouldn’t have married you. Maybe I should have just tossed you to the side like the others. Good luck charm, my foot.”
That felt like a slap on Amelia’s face but she swallowed it..
“I’m sorry. Listen, I’ll make it up to you, okay?”
His ears perked up at that.
“How?”
