Chapter 943
Skylar felt like a change had taken over Rowan.
“What are you thinking about?” asked Joe.
“Rowan seems to have become more mature,” Skylar said.
Joe thought for a moment before saying, “The Jakemans found some of Jenny’s secrets. They’re waiting for a suitable moment to inform Rowan. This time, they want him to make a complete change.”
Skylar was a little surprised. She hadn’t expected the Jakemans to have found Jenny
out.
When she considered it, it made sense, too. If Rowan intended to marry Jenny, they had to investigate her thoroughly.
When Rowan left the hospital, he saw Jenny standing a few steps away.
Upon seeing her, he raised an eyebrow and walked over. Then, Rowan asked, “Why have you come to the hospital?”
“I saw you leave in the morning after taking a call and was a little worried. Thus, I followed you here. Are you feeling unwell?” Jenny was concerned.
“I’m fine. Joe got caught up in something and is now hospitalized. Would you like to visit him?” Rowan sighed in relief. He thought Jenny was worried about Joe.
When she heard that, Jenny’s eyes widened. She didn’t have the guts to see him. Her eyes darted around as she replied, “I think it would be best if I didn’t go.”
“Are you afraid I’ll get mad?” asked Rowan.
Jenny shook her head and answered, “No, Joe has Skylar to take care of him. I don’t have to go there. In addition, I don’t think many people know about his hospitalization. I think it’s best if I didn’t go.”
Rowan observed Jenny. Something seemed off, but he couldn’t figure out why. Once he handled everything he needed to do, he would ask her about it.
“I’m going to work now. Where are you heading off to?”
Jenny checked the time and replied, “I’m going to see a friend. We’ll be founding a studio together. Currently, we’re still talking about the details of our partnership.”

“Alright, goodbye. See you at night.” Rowan kissed her forehead and left.
Jenny bit her lip as she watched him hurry away.
If Rowan hadn’t been chased out of the Jakeman family, he wouldn’t have been this busy. He would always be the Jakeman family’s son, and people would sing praises of him wherever he went.
She didn’t need to be the subject of disdain wherever she went. Minerva was to blame for all of this. Jenny couldn’t help but glance back at the hospital.
If she could turn back time to a few months ago, she wouldn’t have gone to see Edwin out of greed. She wouldn’t be deprived of her agency if she hadn’t done so. At least, she wouldn’t need to fear visiting Joe in the hospital.
Just as she was about to leave, she saw Minerva in front of the hospital. She must’ve just left.
What was Minerva doing at the hospital?
After a brief moment of hesitation, Jenny trailed after her.
