Chapter 83
That was going to suck.
I went back downstairs seeing a few hours had passed and started to make lunch.
“They… taint you” I heard a deep voice say that made me jump and drop the plate in my hand, I squeezed my eyes shut hearing the loud sound of it hit the floor and then the millions of pieces flying across the ground. I opened my eyes looking at him in confusion.
“What?” I said taint me? What the hell does that even mean?
“They make you smell different and then your scent is all wrong for a few days. I don’t like that.” I stared at him bewilderment. He had to be kidding.
“You kill people just because they make my scent change?” I asked my voice loud making me wince slightly. He nodded no emotions displayed, no regret no anger, no anything.
“What the hell, Dezmond, you can’t just kill people because they make me smell differently!” I said throwing my hands out. I was shocked, I knew most of it was the underlying possessive side of him, but the other half was he just took lives because they made my scent change.
“Why are you yelling?” he asked, frustration built up inside of me, he refused to see the wrong in this.
“Why am I yelling? Are you fucking kidding me, please tell me you’re joking. Seriously Dez this is not funny.” He had to be joking. There was no way he was absolutely serious.
His eyes turned a quick shade of almond and he clenched his jaw.
“Watch your language.” He said gruffly.
“No! I’m not going to watch my language! You can’t just kill peo-”
“Kendal” his voice made me stop mid–sentence. His voice wasn’t raised, in fact it was a lower tone. But it was a dangerous tone that sent a chills down my back. I stopped cold looking at him, he looked angry.
“You will do as I say, or you will be punished.” He said. I stared at him, and what exactly was a
punishment because it kind of sounded fun from this end.
“How are you going to punish me?” I asked curiously trying not to sound eager. He gave me a look.
“Just wondering” I said shrugging. I had heard about Alpha punishments and believe me when I say that was something I was looking forward to. I would pretty much take intimacy with Dez in any form even if it involved getting a punishment. I tried to look as innocent as possible but I knew he didn’t buy it.

I looked down carefully stepping over glass making my way towards him, I stopped in front of him looking up at him. He was looking at me skeptically, his arms crossed over his chest.
“Can I please have a kiss?” I asked taking his wrists in my hands and moving them, I stepped forward to where our bodies were inches apart and then carefully looked down setting his hands on my hips, I looked back up at him. He raised an eyebrow.
“Please” I repeated softly begging him with my eyes.
“You promised.” I sang reminding him. I knew I had won when he tugged my body forward into his and slid his hands to the small of my back and connected them, I let my hands travel up his torso and they settled there, I could feel his rock hard abs underneath the thin piece of fabric that was between us.
He leaned down and I leaned up eagerly, but he didn’t kiss me. “Maybe-” he started his deep husky voice rumbling through my chest ” I should punish you by not letting you kiss me with that dirty little mouth of yours” he finished, I hit his chest.
“Tease!” I accused grinning despite his threat. “You have a dirty mouth too” I responded.
“Yes but you don’t seem to mind”
“What if I did?” I challenged.
“You don’t” he stated.
“How come you get to curse and I don’t?” I questioned stubbornly.
“Because you don’t need those dirty words coming out of that pretty little mouth of yours, you’re much too innocent, and I don’t want that to change.” He told me.
“I’m not that innocent Dez” I argued.
“Are you arguing with me?” he asked me raising an eyebrow, his voice was hard but there was an underlying teasing tone to it.
“No.”
“I didn’t think so” he said simply. “Now go get your things we’re leaving” he said letting me go.
“Not until I get a kiss” I said not moving, he gave me a look but I still didn’t go.
“I’m not giving you a kiss until you go get your things” he replied.
“You promised.”
“Go get your things Kendal”

“Fine if I don’t get a kiss before I go get them I might just end up wearing something a little more… lacey home” I threatened, his eyes darkened slightly and he frowned.
“Kendal don’t be difficult” his voice lowered.
“I’m not, you’re the one being difficult why won’t you kiss me?”
“I don’t trust myself right now” he answered.
“You just shifted.” I stated, shouldn’t his self–control be better since he let his wolf out. He sighed before looking up for a long time it looked like he was counting. He put both of his hands in the crook of my neck and positioned my head upwards. He was actually going to do it, I felt my heart beat speed up, He closed his eyes for a minute and took a deep breath before making a face like he couldn’t believe he was doing
