Chapter 77
“Come sleep with me” I told him sleepily, fighting to keep my droopy eyes opened. He stood in the doorway hesitating.
“I promise not to seduce you” I said my voice sounded irritated. He nodded and pulled most of his clothing off, not that I was complaining and got in bed. I sighed feeling his heat already all the way across the bed, I squirmed anting us to be closer.
I rolled over looking at him, he already had his eyes on me, I could see him almost clearly even though it
as dark.
“Am I allowed to cuddle with you?” I asked him.
“No.” he answered, his blunt words stung a little, I hit my lip.
“I–I thought you weren’t angry anymore” I said my voice smaller than before, I braced myself for his
answer.
“I’m not” he replied simply.
“Then why can’t I cuddle with you?”
“I don’t want you to touch me”
“Why not”
“Why do you ask so many questions just go to sleep” he told me he sounded annoyed probably since I was giving him 20 questions and making him actually speak to me. I sighed in response and went to sleep taking what I could get, which was a very distanced Dez, but hey at least I was allowed to sleep with him even if he put every inch he could in between us.
I woke up and rolled over, I was really hot, and I realized when I opened my eyes it was because my very large mate was still in bed and giving off waves of heat, I was on the verge of sweating, and this was gross.
“Dez” I said quietly, he looked over at me in response.
“Why don’t you want me to touch you?” I asked him.
“You’re getting closer to going into heat again, I’m more prone to lose control” he answered his voice deep and gruff from sleep.
“And you needed to be punished for your incident yesterday” he added.

“You’re punishing me for kissing you?” I asked him in a ‘really?‘ tone.
“Yes” he answered his voice sounding stubborn.
“That’s not fair” He didn’t reply.
“I shouldn’t be punished for kissing my mate, you’ve kissed me before and I didn’t ground you” I said letting that hang in the air hoping to guilt trip him. I knew it probably wouldn’t work but it sure as hell wasn’t going to work if I didn’t try. I sighed loudly and dramatically. He got up and left and I took a quick shower and pulled on some panties and a see through tank top. Finally I went into the kitchen, Dez was at the kitchen table the minute he saw me his eyes widened and he spit out his coffee,
I froze not expecting him to be home much less in the kitchen, I bit my lip debating on putting actual clothes on or not. I decided not to.
“Morning” I said innocently, he hissed in response narrowing his eyes on what I had on, or lack thereof. I poured myself some coffee, I got out all the stuff for muffins. I got on my tip toes and leaned over the stove to turn the oven on, and started cooking.
I heard a loud bang and jumped at the sound, and there goes my mate. I put on some dark grey joggers and a loose t–shirt that fell over my shoulder and finished my muffins. Brewer showed up a few minutes after I changed, I knew Dez had been in my head waiting for me to change so he could tell my guards to show up. I closed my mind off to him and gave them each a muffin with a cheeky smile and then began to wash dishes.
“Alright Luna-”

“Kendal” I corrected interrupting.
“The alpha has a meeting he has to attend would you like to join?” he asked shifting uncomfortably with my correction.
“Did he ask you to ask me?” I questioned, he nodded.
“Well you can tell him, if he wants me to go he can ask me himself” I said putting a firm tone to my voice, since I had marked Dez I was technically officially a Luna, we only lacked one step of the process, but still. That meant I got my cool new Luna authority, and my stern voice. I wouldn’t get all the physical changes until we mated, like the link to the pack, the sensitive hearing and strength, that all came with the perks
of having a mate.

Which Dez was almost down right refusing at this point. I knew he didn’t want to hurt me, I understood. But even if he did, I knew it wouldn’t be that much, he was over reacting even if it was just a little bit. A small voice in the back of my head reminded me, that yesterday, we basically just had a hardcore make out session, and I got bruises.

Intimacy with him was going to be a challenge, but definitely one I wasn’t backing down on. We were
going to mate. I didn’t care when, and I didn’t care how far I had to push him to get there but it was going to happen. We were mates. Sex was basically guaranteed. I was made for him, and he was made for me, and if the moon goddess didn’t think I could handle him then she would’ve made me how she did.
