Chapter 73
She was one of the only ones who smiled at me, I smiled back. She was pretty her blonde hair was cut short and she had on a pink sun dress and surprisingly heels, much to my dismay and her pregnant belly.
“I’m Carly” she offered.
“Kendal” I replied, I glanced down at her stomach “How far along are you?” I asked her, she looked down at her bulging belly and smiled, I could see the happiness in her eyes. I hoped one day Dez and I would have kids but I didn’t know what we were really going to do, everything was too soon, I didn’t want to hit him with the baby questions yet.
“2 months” she replied, her smile getting bigger.
“Congratulations!” I said, she got up and came and sat down by me.
“Who’s your mate?” she asked me.
“Dezmond” I replied happily ignoring the gasps and one of the women who had spit out her wine.
Carly didn’t seemed fazed by this at all “Are you planning on kids?” she asked me.
“Uh, I don’t know we haven’t really talked about it, but I hope so” I told her.
“Sam and I are going to try next time I go into heat” One of the women said, I looked over at her. She had auburn hair that was pulled into a pony tail and a pretty purple dress and again heels.
“Good luck” I said smiling at her. That seemed to be it, once the woman with auburn hair spoke to me it was like a switch soon they were all pulling up chair around Carly and I and I was handed a glass of wine and I was basically in on the conversation. The woman with Auburn hair’s name was Emily, and the 4 others were Stephanie, Madison, Lauren and Sarah.
They chattered happily about their lives. Madison complained lightly about having to clean up after Kase, and told a story about her son Kale who had apparently somehow found his way in the dryer. Carly and I talked quietly while the rest of them talked about what normal house wives do.
“Have you and Alpha Collins mated yet?” she seemed uncomfortable saying his name but she didn’t let it show too much. I shook my head.
“he doesn’t want to” I told her lightly keeping the emotion out of my voice.
She gasped quietly “Why not?” she asked.
“He doesn’t want to hurt me”

“Hm” she thought for a little while. “You are small honey, and he’s the biggest man I’ve ever seen I swear” she said sounding shocked by his appearance, I giggled agreeing.
“So have you thought over any names?” I asked her trying to get the conversation off me.
“Austin wants it to be a girl so he’s not being helpful” I grinned
“boys will be boys” I told her she agreed laughing with me.
“I was thinking maybe Michael or Alex” she said,
“Those are so cute”
“Tell Austin that” she grumbled making me laugh again. I looked up seeing Dez walk in followed by the others He didn’t come close he just stayed by the door. Austin I’m taking it was a tall blonde, he kissed
Carly’s cheek and then her baby bump which was adorable, I watched happy for them.
“Are you okay princess?” he asked, she nodded.
“And how’s Carly Junior?” he asked her rubbing her belly.
“Michael is fine” she corrected, I grinned and got up going towards Dez, he was watching me carefully, I
stopped in front of him his eyes to Carly and then to her pregnant belly and then back to me, he gave me
a disapproving look. I gave him a confused look questioning what he was giving me that look for. He
jerked his head for me to follow and I followed catching up to him reaching for his hand.
I intertwined it with mine, and he looked down at our hands and then to me, he still looked upset.
“Did everything go okay?” I asked him looking up at him focusing more on my hand in his, even though his was the size of a baseball mitt mine still fit in his somehow. He nodded, not verbally replying, his mind looked like it was somewhere else completely.
“Is something wrong?” I asked him quietly. He looked down at me and stopped.
“Kendal I can’t give you that” he told me.
“Give me what?”
“A child, you told her you wanted kids, I saw the way you looked at her, you want children.” He stated, I
nodded
“I do” I said truthfully.
“I can’t give you that” he told me.
“You said we would try” I said.

“I know and we will, I just I’m not that. I can’t raise a child, I’m not cut out to be that.” He said his hand dropping mine to shove in his hair. He looked so frustrated and hurt, I sighed and stepped forward wrapping my arms around him. He automatically wrapped his arms around me.
We went back home and he was still in a bad mood but he tried to hide it which wasn’t hard for him since he didn’t actually express emotions like normal person. If I had never marked him and was able to feel his emotions I would have never known, but I could feel it.
