“Sweetheart” he said
“Don’t fucking sweetheart me I’m busy” I stated not very nicely, I turned back around ready to restart my
screaming.
“What the fuck is wrong with you?” I yelled at him, mad that he wasn’t doing anything he was just watching me, no expressions or anything he didn’t even look mad, which only made me livid. My hands itched I picked up one of the lamps and chunked it at him it flew by him and shattered on the wall
behind him.
“You’re cleaning that up” he stated.
“The hell I am” I answered angrily leaving slamming the door, I stood there for a minute breathing
heavily before letting out a growl and going down the stairs Atticus on my heals.
“How’d it go?” Atticus asked.
“Don’t talk to me” I growled at him going into the kitchen.
“Kendal-”
“Go to hell” I replied seeing a blonde in the kitchen, she was in a sundress and heels, she smiled when she
saw me, I glowered.
“Excuse me, hi I’m Kylie, do you know where I can find the Luna?” she asked me innocently, I raised an
eyebrow.
“Why?” I questioned looking at her suspiciously.
“I’m here to meet her, I was told she was just woken up” she said sweetly, I felt like rolling my eyes,
wasn’t in the mood for this.

“Who’re you?” I asked.
“I’m her sister but she doesn’t know that yet, my dad is supposed to introduce us tonight” I froze. Sister? I turned around facing her studying her once again. Blonde hair, green eyes. The same green eyes my father had. A lighter shade of mine, hers seemed to be mixed with grey but the vivid green was still noticeable hers weren’t as bright due to the grey but they definitely had that unique shade.
She was my build, small, probably a little taller even without her heels. She was pretty.
“Sister?” I questioned, casting a glance at Atticus who looked just as surprised as I did. She nodded smiling.

“So where can I find her?”
“who?” I asked dumbly, still in shock and also studying her features. My dad had another child? With who? When was this? Why didn’t I know about this? I chewed on my lip frowning.
“The Luna” she said letting out a small giggle.
“You’re looking at her” she paused looking me her green–grey eyes widening.
“You’re Kendal Collins?” she asked,
“Not Collins” I corrected. “And I’m not a Luna” I added.
“But…” she trailed off.
“Dad said that you were with Dezmond Collins” she said, I felt a twinge that that she called him dad. That meant he had been there with her as a child and she had learned to call him that. That meant that he
had been there for her, and if he had been there for her then he had to have been there after he left me. Which means he had a child after my mom. I thought over this for a while.
She didn’t look that much younger than me, she had to be at least 16 which meant that she had to have been born right after he left or…maybe before.
“Kind of” I replied.
“But he’s your mate?” she asked, I nodded,
“So-
“Its complicated” I interrupted. “So why did my dad never tell me about you?” I asked cutting to the chase, she seemed kind of shocked with the outright question.
“he didn’t know about me until a few years ago” she answered, she looked down, I could tell she was
lying.
“How old are you?” I questioned, she looked away.
“1” she told me, I felt a pang of pain in my stomach 1. She was three years younger than me. My dad had cheated on my mom.
Why had he done that, I felt my chest tighten. My dad loved my mom, I tried to convince myself. But if he loved her why would he cheat on her?
“Aye yo Kend-” I looked over my thoughts interrupted, thankfully or I would’ve had an anxiety attack right then and there. I took the distraction and focused all my attention on it, it was Jenny standing in the doorway, but she was frozen. Her eyes were wide and trained on one thing in the room.

Kylie.
I knew that look. The look of a blind man seeing the sun for the first time, her pupils dilated and she was staring at Kylie. I turned my attention from her to Kylie who was looking at Jenny the same way her nose crinkled, her cheeks stained pink. She looked elated and confused but not ounce short of happy.
I felt a twinge of jealousy. Dez had never looked at me like that, we didn’t have the perfect meeting. We sure as hell aren’t getting the happily ever after. I bit my lip looking down feeling my eyes well up with
tears.
Dez would never look at me like that.
I felt my chest tighten and I turned around keeping my eyes on my feet as I left blindly going in any direction as long as I got as far away from them as I could. Its not that I was jealous, or angry that they got the perfect happily ever after.
