Chapter 35
I went to the kitchen and started to make breakfast even though I wasn’t hungry at all. I knew Dez would be, he was a full grown alpha male, he could eat any amount of food I could even begin to make and then some. On top of that he was the largest alpha I had ever laid eyes on, and probably ever will lay eyes on so I knew he could put away about three times the normal amount any alpha could.
So I cleaned the fridge out, and then wrote a list of what we needed hoping he would see it and let me go to the store at some point. I didn’t really want human interaction like I usually did, I mean I just had an alpha’s hand almost in my pants while I was handcuffed to a chair, I think I need to lay off the human interaction for a few days.
I had all the food on the table I was washing dishes now, I heard the clang of a fork and jumped turning around my heart hammering in my chest, Dez was at the table eating, and inhuman amount of food piled on his plate. He looked up at me, while I tried to control my breathing. He caught my eyes for a minute, and I noticed his honey brown- almost golden eyes were a few shades darker than usual, they were more of an almond color with golden specks.
He didn’t say anything. I didn’t say anything so I just slowly turned back around to the dishes. Dez came up behind me and set his plate in the sink, I froze feeling his presence behind me, but just grabbed his plate. I could also still feel him behind me and it was making me nervous.
Eventually I finished and dried my shaky hands off turning around finding him leaning against the counter, his arms crossed over his chest making his muscles bulge intimidatingly. I looked up at him,
giving him a questioning look.
“hi” I said awkwardly taking a few steps back his close proximity made my mind go blank.
He didn’t reply he just raised an eyebrow at me.
“Um, can I help you?” I asked awkwardly not sure what else to say. He didn’t reply and all, I noticed his biceps tense slightly making them bulge even more. He was studying me silently. And then he just walked out and left the door slammed loudly before I could even blink. “Luna?” one of the guards said but I
ignored him, still thinking about what had just happened.
I went to the kitchen table and sat down, frowning. I sat there for a little while just thinking. I looked up to find all my guards here, two next to the front door, 2 in the kitchen and two probably in the hallway or by the back door.
I saw Brewer in the kitchen “What’s going on?” I asked him directly, his eyes widened and he looked
scared.
“N–nothing Luna” he answered swallowing hardly. I knew Dez had likely scared him into not talking to
- me.

Chapter 35
“Where’s Dez?” I asked.
“Alpha Collins had some business to attend” he answered sounding like he had recited it. I raised an eyebrow at him.
“So can I go see him then?” I asked crossing my arms over my chest.
“No” Mathias said hardly before he started speaking, I glared at him.
“Why the hell not?” I asked.
“The alpha is busy, you’d be a distraction” he said bitterly, he did not like me for some reason.
“Is that what he told you?” I asked him.
“No but you would distract him from” he paused “His work” he finally decided on.
“Take me to the pack house” I said standing up going to my room and pulling some jeans on.
“I’m not allowed to let you leave” he said.
“You’re not allowed to touch me either” I said as I went to the front door.
“Luna” he called after me as I went out it. All 6 of my guards were running after me, but they wouldn’t get within 5 feet of me.
“Luna, you aren’t supposed to leave” Brewer said, I knew I would probably get them in trouble.
“I’m going to the pack house to see my mate” I answered venomously.
“He’s not there Luna” Brewer said.
“Brewer!” Mathias said and I heard a loud smack of him hitting the back of his head, I cringed at the sound, biting down on my lip. I knew that sound. The sound gave me chills, I held my breath feeling anger rise in my chest.
“Don’t touch him” I growled at him, he stopped raising an eyebrow at me.
“I take direct orders from my alpha, not you” he seethed. That made my wolf growl loudly. She couldn’t believe he would dare to even think that. She believed we were a Luna, and he didn’t take orders from us.
“You’re not fully a Luna anyways” he said bitterly, I was angry, I wanted to hit him in the face- but I think I would rather Dez do it.
“Where is my mate?” I asked Brewer completely ignoring his existence, I stared at him expectantly.
