Chapter 132
Kendal’s POV
I breathed in deeply, turning over into Jay’s pillow. I got a whiff of his musky scent and pulled the pillow closer to me and sighed in content. Finally, I sat up and I could faintly smell bacon, my stomach growled. I went downstairs finding Jay in the kitchen cooking, shirtless.
“Good morning beautiful” Jay said glancing over at me before turning his attention back to the food
before him.
“Good morning” I replied, my eye catching a hint of pink on the table, I frowned turning my full attention to the kitchen table which held a few name brand bags. I narrowed my eyes and then looked at Jay, my heart beating fast.
“What’s this?” I asked quietly knowing if I spoke loudly my voice would crack.
“Open it and find out” Jay responded coming up behind me kissing my cheek and setting a plate of food on the table, as he pulled my chair out.
“What’s the occasion?” I questioned peeking in one of the bags, not able to make anything out. My stomach was tight, and I could feel my nose burning. What did I ever do to deserve him?
“I need an occasion to spoil you?” Jay asked me, moving the bags down the end of the table and sitting down with his own plate of food he turned to me with a fork in his hand, I stared at him and then his face softened.
“Why do you always cry when I do things for you?” he asked me smiling slightly.
“I’m not crying, it’s just allergies” I lied wiping my tears waving him off, his laugh filled the kitchen. He pulled me into a tight hug making a few more tears leak out, I hugged him back tightly.
“I love you” I said into his chest.
“I love you more, now stop crying and eat your breakfast okay?” he asked, I looked up at him and then nodded as he held my face in between his hands. He kissed my lips lightly and we sat down and ate.
“This is so good” I groaned squirming in my seat trying not to shove the food down my throat too quickly. I actually finished my plate and occupied myself with eating one of his French toast. His smiled faded slightly and he dropped his fork pressing his hand against my forehead gently.
