Chapter 129
My heart stopped. It was Dez. He stood there looking at all the people.
“Kill them.” He said deeply, and it went silent except for the crackling of wood as the flames burned their houses and way of life to ash.
My hands flew to my mouth to cover my scream as all of the men started to grab men and women and children and started slaughtering them. I squeezed my eyes shut as tears streamed down my face.
“Run perimeters and take the stragglers back home” I heard Dez say and then a “Yes Alpha” followed.
“Mm what do we have here” a deep voice said and my eyes shot opened, I stared at the man before me.
“Running away are we?” he asked and reached forward for me grabbing my arm roughly hauling me off the ground hard enough to pull my shoulder out of socket, as my feet hit the ground the impact jarred through me.
“You’re coming back with us sexy>” I cringed.
“The fuck I am” I replied and shoved him as hard as I could, he let go probably out of shock that I had enough strength to make him budge.
“Feisty are we? I like that.” He said staring at me, his eyes trailed down my body and a sickening feeling settled in my stomach. He reached for me again.
“Get your fucking hands off me” I snarled and then turned around and ran. I let out a cry and he grabbed the back of my hoodie and threw me down on the ground. My body slammed into the ground knocking the breath out of me, I gasped for air. I curled up trying to sit up, my knees and elbows on the ground as I coughed and gasped, my chest hurt so bad, I had to have a broken rib.
“Where do you think you’re going bitch?” he asked and then dropped to his knees and his hands fell around my throat. As a last resort I took in a lung full of air.
“Dez” I screamed before he squeezed and my circulation was cut off. My vision went dark and faded in and out, I tried to gasp for air but I couldn’t. I could feel myself losing oxygen. I struggled as much as I could, I knew I threw a good punch to the face. But I could feel my limbs getting heavier and then my vision faded out once more into darkness.
I woke up and so much pain radiated through my body, I blacked out. I did that a few times before I finally got my eyes to open, my vision was blurry and I blinked a few times before it cleared slightly. Every breath I took hurt so bad, I knew crying would only make it worse, I saw someone in my peripheral, and I felt someone touching my wrist to get my pulse.

Chapter 129
I forced myself to look at them.
“James?” I question, my voice just a whisper.
“Luna” he said in surprise, “How are you feeling”
“Like hell” I replied and he smiled brushing hair from my face.
“The alpha will be here soon”
“No, I want to go home, I don’t want to see Dez” I told him.
“Luna… you’ve been here 3 weeks already, and you need regular checkups now with your baby” I started choking.
“My what?” I asked.
“Your baby.” he repeated.
“I have a baby?” I asked, he nodded.
“You didn’t know?” I shook my head. I had a baby? I was pregnant? Jay and I were going to have a baby? How was that even possible?
“Does Dez know?” I asked him, he shook his head.
“He knew when we first brought you here, he could smell it on you” he informed me still taking my pulse.
“Does he think it’s his?” I asked suddenly, he raised an eyebrow.
“Is it not?” he asked, I stared at him.
“No” I whispered.
“Shit” I said under my breath I lifted my arms to cover my face. Damn.
“The baby smells like his”
“I have to get home” I said suddenly trying to sit up.
“Luna no-”
“No, you don’t understand James, let me go” I said the last part making my voice take a deadly tone. He let me get up with some help and then I tried to leave. My ribs hurt and my throat felt bruised, but other than that I was fine, I went to Dez’s office.

“Take me home” I said immediately as I walked in, he looked up at me his eyes wide.
“No.” he said simply, I growled in response.
“You’re not going to keep me here against my will” I snarled at him.
“You’re not leaving with my child growing inside of you” he said standing up. I took in a deep breath.
“Why do you assume this is your baby?” I automatically retorted, he froze, his look was hard. Like he was expecting me to break like I usually did, but I just stared at him. He had no leverage over me anymore, and I wasn’t afraid of him.
“I’m the only one who can get you pregnant.” He said dismissing what I said casually.
“Jay is your brother. You don’t think that his genes are just like yours?” I asked him. It was true, that I could only get pregnant by Dez, but obviously there was something wrong here because I was pregnant and Dez and I had sex a long time ago.
