Chapter 121
I fell asleep by accident; I woke when I heard the door open. I rubbed my eyes and looked around probably looking even more like shit than I did before my nap.
“Where are we?” I asked feeling groggy, I felt like I was being suffocated and I was dead.
“My house” Jay replied not even bothering to help me out of the truck he just plucked me from the seat knowing I was too tired to actually get out myself. It wasn’t too big, but it was two story, it was kind of cute actually.
We went inside, there was a simple large living room with warm fall colors. The kitchen was connected by a bar with stools. The stairs were though a doorway, I followed him up the stairs. There was a large room with a few couches and a desk and a large TV and fireplace, which was a den I’m assuming. And then there was a bathroom at the end on the hall and on the other side of the hall was Jay’s room.
His room was pretty big, and simple. There was just a gigantic bed, with a bench at the end of it, there was a huge TV across the room and two nightstands on either side of it. I saw the opening to a bathroom and what I hoped was a closet. He let me just look around for a little while, after he set my duffel bag down and apologized as his phone rang. He left a lingering kiss on my forehead before walking down the hallway into the den.
I went into the bathroom; it was pretty large. Did everyone in this family need a huge bathroom? The tile was a soft brown color and there was a room off to my left that was literally the shower, and the bathtub was built into the wall with the pretty tile surrounding it, it was huge but it didn’t look like he used it. The sink was on the opposite side of the room and there was a long bar with his and her sinks with at least 4 feet in–between then, with a huge mirror that stretched across the whole entire wall. The toilet was in an opposite room in the right corner and there was a little cabinet with towels and stuff in it. I loved this bathroom, it almost reminded me of a cave somehow. The bathroom was connected to his large walk in closet. I looked around, there was everything in there, and a lot of suits, there was a built in dresser with small drawers which contained watches and ties and stuff like that. I could see all kinds of nice shoes, like his attire was complete sophistication. Then I found his normal jeans and t–shirts, which is what I saw him in all the time.
I heard him come in as I was looking through his suit jackets, he didn’t say anything, just stood there from what I could hear.
“Do you wear tuxes a lot?” I asked him curiously turning around, he nodded.
“Why?” I asked.
“Well, the people that I work with are very powerful, not just people you can approach in jeans.” He told

Chapter 121
“Demons?” I questioned.
“The most powerful ones.” He responded nodding, I turned back around, carefully looking around.
“Are you hungry?” he asked, I nodded realizing I was actually hungry.
“Well let’s go get something” he replied.
“Can we just stay here…?” I asked him hesitantly, I didn’t feel like going out anywhere, I felt like shit. He smiled at me and nodded and we went downstairs. He started cooking and I sat at one of the stools looking into his cute little kitchen.
We ate and I took a long hot shower in his giant shower, which I just sat on the floor letting the hot water run over me. I got out and put on a t–shirt and sweats, mid walking down the stairs my mark started to burn. All I could feel was irritation now, I could never get anything done with him doing that bullshit. I couldn’t find Jay anywhere so I went back upstairs finding him in the den, he was sitting there doing something, I laid down putting my head in his lap, and sighed.
The burning hurt so bad, but I had felt it so often I didn’t really do anything but just sit there anymore. I laid there and he played with my hair.
“Kendal your mark is bleeding” he told me lowly.
“I know” I responded quietly, I heard him sigh loudly. He pulled my shirt up a little and rubbed my back I focused on his fingers softly tracing random patterns on my back, it sent chills all over my back feeling his soft touch. I got drowsy and somehow despite the fire in my neck I fell asleep.
I woke up in the middle of the night, to find myself in Jay’s giant bed. I sat up and the burn in my neck was still there, meaning Dez was still going at it 6 hours later, I rolled my eyes and got out of bed in search of Jay. I found him in the den, passed out on the couch, he looked uncomfortable, his feet were hanging off the end and his body was scrunched up in a weird way.
