“So, how come all those people in there were afraid of you, but you’re not powerful enough to do the demon magic teleporting thingy?” I asked him.
“I’m powerful Kendal, I just don’t have that demon trait, just like I don’t have the shifting trait that
werewolves have.”
“Oh… so are you a rogue? Because you aren’t part of a pack, but like you’re not a full werewolf?” I asked him curiously.
“I could be considered a rogue, yes” he responded, I thought some more.
“So, if you had kids would they be werewolves? Or demons?”
“I don’t know… I guess that would depend on what I was having kids with” he replied but even he sounded questionable.
“All those demons were scary” I told him quietly.
“I’m sorry that you had to see them” he told me and stopped, I didn’t realize that we were at my dad’s house. The drive was quick. He got out and came around and opened my door and helped me down so I didn’t face plant falling out of his giant truck. We walked hand in hand slowly to the front door, I turned around at it. I didn’t want to say bye.
“I had fun” I told him giving him a cheeky grin, he grinned back.
“Me too” he responded, just as I opened my mouth to say something important the door swung wide opened and my father stood there looking like someone pissed in his cheerios.
“You’re late.” He stated crossed his arms over his chest sizing Jay up, I rolled my eyes.
“I am an adult, father.” I reminded him, and sighed.
“Bye Jay” I said happily “I’ll call you later” I promised.
“Bye Kendal.” he replied looking like he was biting back laughter.
“And don’t come back until you learn to tell time” my dad said loudly and then shooed me in the house and slammed the door for good measure. I bit down on my lip to try not to laugh, that would only piss
him off more.
“Do you know what time it is?” he asked me.

“After 9?” I guessed.
“Yeah it is.” He said glaring at me.
“Am I grounded?” I mocked.
“I’m deciding” I rolled my eyes.
“Inform me when you decide” I said jokingly and went up the stairs, he growled in response. I went upstairs and took a quick shower and then put on a big t–shirt and panties and climbed into my bed. Boy, this was the best feeling ever.
Of course it had to be interrupted by a slight itch on my neck.

Slowly the itch got more unbearable until it was a full fledge burn, I waited patiently until it was done for a few hours, I fell into a restless sleep and woke up a few hours later. I changed my shirt and wiped my neck off then climbed back into bed and this time fell into a peaceful sleep.
I woke up around 9 or 10 and found my normal good morning text from Jay. Jenny texted me twice and I had missed call from Eric. I groaned and rolled over and went back to bed. I woke up to burning in my neck again.
“Seriously Dez, it’s fucking 11AM” I groaned into my pillows. This was literally just an inconvenience now. I grabbed my phone and texted Jay back ‘morning‘ and he asked me if I wanted breakfast, I said please and finally the burning stopped so I went back to sleep.
I woke up to someone softly rubbing my back, which sent chills down my body, I shivered, loving the feeling of his fingers softly running down my back, finally, I forced myself to turn over.
“Hey” I said softly to Jay whose brow automatically furrowed.
“Are you bleeding?” he asked referring to the blood on a pillow I had shoved off to the side. I sat up slowly and saw the little bag of donut holes on my dresser, I reached for it.
“Yeah, Dez decided to get it on with some girl this morning” I said bitterly rolling my eyes as I looked into the bag, seeing it was indeed more than a dozen. I took one popping it in my mouth and offered one to Jay who shook his head.
“It bleeds when he’s with other women?” he asked me looking worried.
“Yup, every single time, hurts like hell.” I responded casually eating a few more before setting the donut bag back on my dresser and collapsing back in my bed.
“How often does it… happen?” he asked me.

“Most of the time around twice a night, but sometimes like more and then the occasional one in late morning or during the day” I told him.
“How do you sleep through it?”
“I don’t, I just wait and then go to sleep after” I responded. He looked mad but he didn’t say anything.
“I’m sorry” he offered, I gave him a smile and a shrug.
“Not your fault” I replied, he nodded and then brushed some hair out of my face.
“Do you want to go out for dinner tonight?” he asked, I nodded.
“Dress down or up?” I questioned.
“Whatever you want princess” he told me, his pet name gave me butterflies.
