Chapter 98
“Dez!” I said, and he gave i
childish grin in response, I grinned back and he returned to his work kissing down my stomach. He played with the lace of my panties but never pulled them down like I expected. He slowly kissed his way back up my stomach despite my squirming. He came back up and kissed me again making me completely forget my own name.
He stopped and then laid next to me putting his hands behind his head, staring up at the ceiling. I laid there trying to catch my breath, trying to comprehend basic thoughts. My body was trembling with adrenaline and I was craving every part of him. Once my heartbeat slowed down and my breathing shallowed.
“Why did you stop?” I asked him.
“Did I hurt you?” he asked, I shook my head.
“No, why?”
“I just calmed my wolf down” he responded.
“but why did you stop?” I asked urgently, I was getting irritated.
“I was seeing how much it would take to calm him down” he told me.
“Okay and why did you stop.” I asked this time irritation completely took over my voice. Dez turned his body and propped his head up and rose an eyebrow at me, I turned on my stomach and stared defiantly
back.
“Watch your tone kitten.” He said lightly but there was an underlying threat, his pet name made me shiver. “You’re mine to do as I please when I please.” He reminded a certain amount of possessiveness taking over his voice that was just so sexy I literally could barely form a thought, I hesitantly nodded.
He got up and went to his closet and came back a few minutes later completely clothed, I sat up hugging my knees.
“Where are you going?” I asked.
“I still have responsibilities Kendal.”
“I want to go” I said getting up and going to my closet and I pulled on a bra and simple grey t–shirt and some jeaned shorts, I put on some timberlands and grabbed a hoodie just in case, I came out of the closet and he was waiting looking annoyed. I went to the dresser and grabbed my phone and came back wrapping my arms around his torso I got on my tip toes and he leaned down giving me what I wanted.

He gave me a soft kiss, my heart sped up and my breath hitched in my throat with the simple kiss. He pulled away and I made a small noise of protest frowning at him. He smoothed the lines of my out with his thumb before leaving a light kiss on my forehead and then going out the door. I trailed behind taking his hand wrapping my whole hand around just two of his fingers. He looked irritated at me walking so slow, I ignored his looks of annoyance looking around enjoying the day.
Suddenly he grabbed my waist as I was walking, I let out a small scream of protest and he lifted me above his head and set me on his shoulders. I giggled a little as his hands fell on
my thighs and his pace
quickened.
I connected one of my hands with one that was seated on my thigh and the other I dug into his soft hair. I
leaned over him.
“I love you” I told him kissing his forehead erupting into giggles. I was extremely happy and my mood was giggly. I felt the need to keep talking.
“Its such a pretty day, the sun isn’t too hot, and there’s really nice cold wind, and the birds are chirping and-“I just continued babbling about anything that came to mind. Dez didn’t respond to anything or volunteer any information making me think he was completely ignoring me, but that was okay.
We finally got to the pack house and instead of him taking me down like I expected he made me duck under the doorways while he ducked as well because he almost touched the top of the doorframe by himself. We were in the common room where a lot of the pack spent their time so naturally they all immediately stopped talking and stared probably never seeing Dez and I be affectionate like this. Or seeing Dez show any type of emotion. At all. Ever.
He grabbed my arm and gave me a light tug pulling me off his shoulders and into his arms and then he set me down carefully. He went into the other hallway but not after I grabbed two of his fingers and let him drag me down the hallway then up the stairs. “What work do you have to do?” I finally asked as he shrugged my hand off and went to his desk sitting down behind it. Instead of going to my chair in the corner I sat in one of the chairs across from him, he gave me a questionable look as I pulled my legs up getting comfortable but didn’t say a word.
“Do you have like meetings? Have you called my dad yet? Do you think he had anything to do with those rogues that hurt you? Because you know that if it was planned then he would know about it because he like knows everything about rogues or whatever. But I don’t understand why he would want to kill you because-”
