Julia hastily stood up, watching Harry’s figure as she realized she shouldn’t have secretly looked at the documents regar Melvin’s death. Melvin’s death had not only brought adverse effects to the Wright family but also inflicted a deep emotional wound on Harry.
Julia knew Harry had always admired Melvin. When Harry found out that his father had committed suicide while dressing in women’s clothing, it was a profound shock for him.

“Sorry, I didn’t mean to look.” Julia finally apologized after a long silence. She expected Harry to respond angrily. However, Harry gathered the documents and turned to face her.
Without scolding or blame, Harry gently remarked, “You waited for me for so long and must have been boring”
Therefore, it did not matter if she flipped through it when bored. Understanding his meaning, Julia couldn’t believe the sudden change in Harry’s demeanor. Was this the same Harry she knew before? Why was he suddenly so gentle?

Julia said, “Harry, you change your attitude faster than a woman changes her mind. I knew your kindness just now was fake. Now, this is your true self. If you want to scold me, just do it instead of beating around the bush. It made me feel uneasy. I know it was wrong of me to look without your permission…”
Harry was expressionless. He glanced at Julia and said, “Let’s go home.”
Julia, who had sincerely apologized to Harry, met with a cold shoulder. As she followed behind him, frustration bubbled up within her. She raised her hand and began swinging her fist toward the back of Harry’s head, treating it as a punching bag.
To her surprise, Harry suddenly turned around, and Julia’s hand froze in mid–air, just inches away from his nose. If Julia had been any slower, she might have punched Harry in the face.
Stunned for a moment by Harry’s piercing gaze, Julia’s reaction was delayed, and she slowly withdrew her hand, placing it behind her back. She stared nervously into Harry’s terrifying eyes and whispered, “I was just exercising. My hand felt uncomfortable from sitting for too long.”
“I can see you were about to hit me,” Harry suddenly remarked, catching Julia off guard. She hadn’t expected Harry to be so direct in exposing her intentions, once again deviating from his expected course. Julia’s reactions always seemed to lag a few beats behind when facing Harry.
Harry said, “It seems you have a lot of grievances against me!”
Julia quickly shook her head. ‘Absolutely not.”
Harry chuckled coldly twice, then turned and walked into the elevator Julia followed behind at a steady pace, no longer daring to make any strange movements behind Harry’s back, as she didn’t know when he might suddenly turn around. Once caught by Harry, Julia would immediately restrain herself.
Julia knew the danger of provoking Harry. She wouldn’t joke with her life.
“How much of that document did you read just now?” Harry started the car and didn’t even glance at Julia. His tone was light and airy, devoid of any discernible emotion, but Julia still felt like she was walking on thin ice.
She knew what Harry was asking. Her brain was racing, needing to come up with the perfect answer to Harry’s question.
Perhaps because Harry had waited too long for Julia’s response, he couldn’t help but raise his voice and ask again. Julia was startled. She shivered and blurted out, “I read most of it.”
Before Harry could speak again, Julia hurriedly reassured him, saying, “Don’t worry. Even though I read most of it, I absolutely won’t leak any of the contents I saw.”
