Redemption 29

Book2 Chapter21
“Wow, Elizabeth, your skills have really gone rusty!” Emma teased, eyeing my shaky design sketches.
“How on earth did you win first place back in college?”
I let out a frustrated groan and buried my head in my hands, the weight of my own expectations crashing down on me.
I used to been the top student in our art department, but now, even the basics seemed beyond my grasp.
Emma laughed, her eyes tw**ng with mischief, as she shook her head at my misery,
“You used to be a force of nature, Elizabeth. But now… well, let’s just say you’ve got a lot of catching up to do.”
She wasn’t wrong, not one bit.
Back in college, hand-drawn sketches were the norm. But now, everything had gone digital.
I had to relearn so much- new software, modern techniques, and the latest industry trends.
But I welcomed the challenge with open arms.

Book2 Chapter21
My days were spent brushing up on the basics with Emma, and my nights were dedicated to design classes at the university. I threw myself into it completely, pushing my limits in ways I hadn’t dared to
in years.
The more I worked, the more I realized how much I had missed this
creative side of myself-the side buried under years of trying to be the perfect girlfriend.
Emma often looked at me-my face shadowed with dark circles and hair in disarray-and shook her head with a knowing grin.
“Now this is the Elizabeth I remember,” she’d say, her tone a mix of laughter and pride.
For the first time in ages, I felt truly alive. My days were filled with purpose, my mind buzzing with ideas. The stress of the past faded away as I immersed in my designs, my passion reignited.
