Emma was completely wasted, so I had no choice but to taking her
home.
As I half–dragged her out of the bar, my high heels wobbled, and I
almost stumbled.
“Careful!”
Suddenly, someone caught us both, guiding us into a nearby booth.
“Thank you, sorry about that, we’ll get out of your way…” I stammered awkwardly.
But the person didn’t say anything.
Once I made sure Emma was settled, I finally looked up.
“Elizabeth?” A familiar voice called out.
The man grinned brightly and running a hand through his hair.
“I know I had a buzz cut back then, but it’s still rude to forget me! We pulled all–nighters gaming together, remember?”
I stared at him, tracking my brain, until suddenly, it hit me- and I burst out laughing.

“Homer?!”
“It’s Rolin now,” he winked. “I’m kind of a big shot in the fashion world
these days.”
He threw his arm around me and introduced me to his group of friends, who were just as lively as him.
One of them raised a glass in my direction, shouting, “Elizabeth! Rolin’s muse, the goddess herself!”
Rolin blushed slightly and gave me a playfully nudged.
“That’s right! The muse I’m always going on about–here she is, in the flesh!”
Laughter and cheers erupted around us, and I couldn’t help but feel a little self–conscious.
Just then, my phone buzzed in my pocket, breaking the moment.
