Love Story6–Chapter 1
On New Year’s Day, I secretly traveled to River City.
I wanted to surprise my boyfriend, Timothy Harmon, but instead, I was the one blindsided.
When I arrived outside the apartment building he rented, I saw him casually chatting with his friends downstairs.
One of his friends teased him with a laugh: “You’ve been suy that wild woman Gemma Paxton over 20 times this month. How are you even holding up?”
Timothy clutched his waist and retorted with irritation, “Jealous much?”
His friend replied sourly, “What’s the use of being jealous? I’d love to find myself a sugar mama too, but none of them would even look my way!”
“By the way, what about your official girlfriend, Selena Johnson? Are you just going to keep her in the dark?”
“In a few days, you’ll be marrying Gemma Paxton. When that happens, it’ll be impossible to hide it anymore. If Selena finds out and crashes the wedding, you’ll be in big trouble!”
Timothy didn’t respond to this, but his expression turned complicated.
Not far away, I stood frozen, overhearing everything.
A sugar mama? And he’s getting married soon?
And I’ve been completely left in the dark this whole time?
What is going on here?
I wanted to confront him, but before I could move, a luxury car drove up from the distance and stopped in front of Timothy and his friends.
They laughed and climbed into the car, which sped off quickly.
And that’s when I clearly saw the driver’s face.
Sophie Hayes!
Our Daughter Almost Killed For His Mistress’s Christmas
A was my college roommate and best friend. After graduating, she came to River City with Timothy to pursue opportunities.
Back then, she had patted her chest and vowed to me that she’d look after Timothy and never let him. mess around or do anything to hurt me.
Sophie came from a poor family, yet the luxury car she was driving was something even an average white collar worker couldn’t afford after saving for ten years.
1 stared blankly at the car as it disappeared into the distance, feeling a chill spread through my body.
Timothy was being kept by someone and was about to get married. Sophie knew all about it, yet she chose to keep me in the dark.
A cheating boyfriend and a backstabbing best friend. It felt like a double betrayal to me!
Watching the car drive away, I pulled out my phone and made a call.
As soon as the call connected, before the person on the other end could speak, I said coldly. “I need you to track a car’s destination…”
An hour later, I arrived at the Blue Private Club in the luxury car of River City’s wealthiest man.
Driving the car was Cole Mason, the son of the city’s wealthiest family.
Cole looked at me respectfully and cautiously said, “Miss Johnson, the car you asked me to track is parked at this private club.”
“This private club belongs to my family’s business, though there are a few minor shareholders involved. It’s typically reserved for members of River City’s high society.”
As he introduced the place, Cole respectfully led me into the club.
After asking the club’s manager, Cole quickly located the private room where Timothy and Sophie. were with their group.
Cole initially wanted to accompany me inside, but I stopped him. “Wait for me outside,” I said.
The door to the private room wasn’t fully closed, and I could hear laughter and congratulations soming from inside.
“Timothy, marrying Gemma is truly the blessing of a lifetime!”

At the same time, Sophie’s humble yet proud laughter felt like a dagger to my heart.
I pushed open the ajar door and stepped inside.
There were over ten people in the room, all of whom froze at the sight of me.
Especially Timothy and Sophie–when their eyes met mine, a flash of panic crossed their faces.
