Chapter 35
Silas saw the flicker in Adrian’s eyes when he said that. He looked surprised and was in disbelief that Silas knew about that.
Adrian didn’t say anything and the tension was very heavy in the air. He looked at Silas straight in the eyes, waiting what he would do or what he would say about that piece of information, but the lycan only smiled.
“That’s in the past. I will not do anything to you,” he said lightly,
“It was an order,” Adrian explained himself briefly.
“I know.” Silas nodded, he leaned against his car, crossing his arms in front of his chest, staring at Adrian in front of him.
Of course he knew. It was an order that was given by supreme alpha Karel. And now, the karma hit him so hard because his only son’s life relied on the last lycan. How funny the fate played with them, right?
Karel couldn’t kill Silas and Silas didn’t have any desire to avenge the people that had killed his family. He didn’t know them and more importantly, he needed Karel alive.
He was the supreme alpha after all and his son needed him to keep his tiny life attached, thus there was no way Karel would make an order to kill him like he did to the rest of his family and for Silas, he could use this opportunity to get whatever he wanted.
Just like how he wanted Cielle for himself. The supreme alpha wouldn’t be able to say anything about it, though it was unheard of for the alpha’s destined mate to be the chosen mate for another alpha.
“Don’t worry, I don’t want to seek revenge. I only want to live my life with Cielle.” Silas kicked the rock under his feet mindlessly. “More so, she will be very devastated if I killed you. I don’t want that.”
Silas wouldn’t want to make Cielle said, no matter what the reason.
Alpha Adrian stared at him briefly before he nodded. It was not sure what he was thinking right now, his expression was unreadable and with that, the hardest conversation turned into nothing.
“I want to see Cielle.”
“No. There is no good for you to see her,” Silas replied lightly. He didn’t feel like there was an urgency for Adrian to meet with Clle. “She is in peace right now. You don’t need to bother her anymore.”
“I am not coming here to bother her,” Adrian said, he looked offended by Silas’s statement, but the lycan couldn’t care less about that, as he looked at him straight in the eyes.
“I don’t want you to meet with her. Whatever your reason is, I don’t want you to see her.”
“I am her father.”
“That’s more of the reason why I don’t want you to see her.”
Alpha Adrian glared at the lycan. “I know it’s foolish of me to do that, but you should see from my perspective. I only wanted the best for my daughter.”
“Is that an apology.”
“I will not apologize for something that I know that was the right thing to do.”
Silas gritted his teeth. He knew alpha Adrian would be very stubborn and probably he wouldn’t leave the pack until he really went inside and informed Cielle about his visit.

Adrian wanted to protest, but Silas reminded him again about what happened the last time and how he made things really difficult for him and Cielle when they left his pack, or when he tried to come and visit Cielle after he ‘kidnapped‘ her.
The reminded made alpha Adrian’s tongued tied, he couldn’t retort that and have no other choice, but to agree with the lycan.
And right in front of him, Silas made a call to Kean, asking his gamma to ask whether or not she wanted to meet with her father.
Silas put his gamma on speaker, so Adrian would be able to hear their conversation.
From the speaker phone, Adrian could hear Cielle’s voice, his heart skipped a beat. She sounded happy, but then when his name was mentioned her voice sounded sad.
“She doesn’t want to see him, Silas.”
That was the answer from Kean and Silas thanked the gamma and cut the phone call. He faced Adrian in front of him.
“You hear that.” He put the phone into his pocket. “You can hit the road now.” Silas didn’t waste more of his time, as he entered his car and then drove away, leaving Adrian there alone, he didn’t even let him to argue with him before he left.
Silas could understand why Cielle didn’t want to see her father. Growing up, they were not close. Adrian might not say loud, but his desire was very clear to see.
it out
He wanted a son. He wanted a son to inherit his bloodline, therefore when he had Cielle, it was rather a disappointing for
him.
However, he couldn’t say it, since it would make him looked bad, after all, alpha Adrian was all image. He must be over the moon to know that his mate was pregnant again.
Silas didn’t even expect him to come to see Cielle after knowing about the ceremony, he thought the alpha would be busy with the pregnancy.
But, in the end, it seemed, he still had a little bit of conscience.
When Sila went to see Cielle, she didn’t look sad, but they didn’t talk about Adrian’s visit.
The next day, Cielle busied herself to pick up the dress and the flowers that she wanted to use in her ceremony. She would be the most beautiful woman that day.
“I don’t want you to get tired, if you thought this is too much, tell me, okay?” Silas accompanied her in the bed. This was not the first time they shared a bed, but it felt more intimate somehow.
