Chapter 126
Silas was already very attentive to begin with, but with this high risk pregnancy, he became even more on edge. He would do everything for Hazel. He would stay up late and even so, he would have trouble to sleep.
He would be at Hazel’s back and call and he would pamper her senseless.
“Silas, I am pregnant not sick,” Hazel said when Silas insisted for him to hold her purse. “This purse weight nothing”
“You only need to carry your own weight, that’s already enough.
Currently, the two of them went out to shopping center, since it was kind of boring to stay inside the apartment all the time and because they couldn’t do physical activity just yet, since Silas wouldn’t even entertain the thought, the only thing they could do was to go to the shopping center, ate at the restaurant or went to watch movie.
This was an ordinary thing that couple would do, but Hazle was very grateful that Silas wanted to do it with her.
“Do you want to say that I am heavy?” Hazel narrowed her eyes when Silas took the popcorn bag and their drinks. He literally didn’t allow her to carry anything, if he could, he would carry her on his back, so she wouldn’t need to walk.
But of course, Hazel would explode at him if he even tried to pull that kind of ridiculous thing to her.
“You weight nothing, Hazel.” Silas kissed her cheek. “But, I don’t want you to get tired.”
“I am not…”
“We agreed on this, don’t argue with me.” This time Silas reminded her sternly about their agreement.
Hazel agreed that she would allow Silas to do whatever to keep her safe and healthy. Anything, without question and without complain.
At first, she thought it was not a big deal, since this would benefit their baby too, but in the end, she kind of regretted the decision, because Silas became very overbearing. Yet, there was some part of Hazel that loved it. She liked being spoiled like this. She felt loved whenever he was worried about her and he did every time.
“Okay, okay…” Hazel plopped the popcorn into her mouth and hugged his arm, as they entered the movie theatre.
She felt normal, as if they were only a normal couple, who were having a date. She saw a few couple with their children too and she wondered was this the right time to bring up marriage with Silas?
Yet, she dismissed the thought immediately. She was already lucky enough for Silas to agree to keep the baby despite all the scary thing that loomed over their head, she didn’t want to push her luck.
But, she wondered, whether Silas understood the important of marriage, since in his case, having his mark was the absolute vow to spend the rest of their life with each other.
“Don’t fall asleep,” Silas teased when they sat down on their seats
“I will not.”
Although that was what Hazel said, halfway of the movie, she indeed fell asleep. The movie was loud enough, since it was about war, but it didn’t wake her up, thus Silas became overthinking and checked on her every five minutes, making sure that she was… breathing.
Sometime, he would put his hand over her chest to feel her heartbeat, thinking he might be mistaken with her breathing. That was the extent of his anxiety.
“You fell asleep.” Silas nudged her cheek

to go back so you can sleep.

Hazel yawned and stretched her body. “You are right, we should just watch movie at home.” She rubbed her sleepy eyes and looked around, the theatre was almost empty. “What a waste of money…”
Silas laughed and then helped her to get up. “Come on, let’s go back home.”
“I didn’t even know the end of it.”
“I will tell you on the way,” Silas said.
Hazel grinned, she was so grateful to have him in her life. She didn’t know what she had done to deserve him. It must be faith. If Silas didn’t come to her house that day, they would have never met with each other, or maybe, he would end up with
another woman.
The thought alone made Hazel uneasy.
“Okay, let’s go back home!” Hazel grinned like a fool. He was hers right now and that was all that matter.
Silas put his hand around her waist protectively, as he guided her out of the theatre. They bought something to eat for dinner, because Hazel didn’t want to see Silas busy in the kitchen.
In this matter, Silas was actually pretty reluctant, because he wanted her to eat something healthy that was fresh, but he relented, since they didn’t do it often.
“Ah, I should have stayed awake to watch the entire movie… it sounded amazing.” Hazel regretted to fall asleep, but her mind was a little bit sluggish lately, since she entered eight weeks of her pregnancy.
Silas would make an appointment every week for them to check the baby and Hazel’s condition.
“You are tired,” Silas said, he stretched out his hand to caress her cheek, as he restarted the engine. They were ready to go home right now.
“What I am tired for? I didn’t even do anything at home.”
They hired a helper to clean the house twice a week and Silas would be by Hazel’s side all the time, didn’t allow her to do anything.
However, on their way back, Hazel dozed off again. Her sleepiness was getting worse and this worried Silas, but the doctor said, she was relatively healthy, though he couldn’t promise it would be easy. The risk was still very high for Hazel to keep the baby.
And yet, that was not only Silas’s problem, because when he arrived at home, he was greeted by Archie and Kean. They were waiting for him.
