Chapter 122
Silas should have known that would be the answer for it, but he was still trying to find other solutions for the mess that he created. What he was actually thinking when he impregnated her? He should have known that it was dangerous for her, yet he was being stupid.
Now, the regret was too late to come.
“Silas,” alpha Sam called his name because he looked very distracted by the news. “I know this is not an easy choice…”
“Life has not been easy with me. I am used to it,” Silas replied, he then stood up. There was nothing else that he needed to say or hear here, everything was crystal clear now. The only thing that was left for him was to tell Hazel the truth.
It was not fair to put her in any danger when she was not even aware of that. Yet, he only wanted to make sure of one thing.
“Is there really no hope for this?” Silas furrowed his brows. “Can’t you find a way?”
Alpha Sam shook his head regretfully. “I am afraid, there is no way to do this, Silas. I am sorry.”
“Don’t be.” He didn’t want his pity. He might be no longer an alpha, but his pride didn’t allow him to let other see him in that light. “Thank you for your time, alpha Sam,” Silas said, as he got up from his seat and was ready to leave the room, but alpha Sam said something that broke him even more.
“I don’t know if you wanted to know about this or not, but knowing how much you cared about her, I think it’s only right to let you know about this.” Alpha Sam looked hesitated, but Silas already stopped walking and waited for him to say what was in his mind. “They have moved her grave.”
Alpha Sam didn’t need to explain, who was ‘her‘ that he meant, because Silas already knew even though he didn’t say her
name.
“Alpha Adrian has moved her grave to River Creek pack, she was buried in the family’s burial ground.”
Silas didn’t give any respond to that for a while, but then he nodded. His expression was so hard to discern. “Thank you for informing me about this.” He thanked him because alpha Adrian wouldn’t have contacted him, especially when he had been banned from the shifter world, it would be his strong excuse not to tell him.
“Take care, Silas.”
Silas simply nodded and then left his study room. A few people saw him, but they pretended not to see him there, neither of them reported him to the supreme alpha, even though the lycan had been banned from the shifter world.
All of them knew the truth and it was hard to blame Silas for whatever wrongdoings he had done, since in their eyes, his action was justified. More so, he was not a threat to anyone else.
However, because of the banishment, pretending not to see him was the best support they could do. Not to mention, the lycan looked so gloomy, as if there was a dark cloud on his head. None of them was dare enough to approach him.
After talking with alpha Sam, Silas drove away, he was driving aimlessly, trying to get his mind straight. Hazel was the only person in his mind at this moment, but she was the last person that he wanted to meet.
He dreaded the thought to see her heartbreak.
Cielle, what should I do?
Silas stopped his car right before he crossed River Creek’s territory. Somehow, his subconsciousness took him to this pack, the pack where he grew up with Cielle. Probably, he wanted to see some kind of familiarity to keep his mind straight, because it was very obvious that his mind was a jumble mess right now.
He couldn’t trust himself. Everything was in disarray. His life was a clusterfuck right now and as if the universe wanted to punish him even further, he heard someone approached him and he froze like a fool.
“Silas, is that you?”
It was luna Maia, Cielle’s mother, she was no longer pregnant, she must have given birth to her baby. Last Silas heard, she was with a baby boy. Good for her and alpha Adrian, since he had been bitching to have a boy as the heir for his title.
“Silas, it’s you, right?” Maia called him, she stood next to the door of the car, she must have smelled Silas’s scent to know that it
