Chapter 119
In the end, Hazel sat on the countertop, while watching Silas cooking for her. He looked like an expert when he chopped the
onion.
It might sound ridiculous, but somehow Hazel found it very sexy whenever Silas was focus on something and even when he stirred the soup with the ladle, she couldn’t help, but be mesmerized by him.
She might be crazy to think of him this way. Or, she might as well fell crazily for him.
However, the fear still lingered. There was one thing that Hazel didn’t tell Silas earlier that was the fact that the nightmare was not only about Silas leaving her, but also about the baby… the baby in her stomach. The blood between her legs and how it pooled on the floor, around her body… she had never been so scared like that before.
Hazel raised her hand and stared at it for a while. In her dream, her hand was coated by her own blood, the indication that she had a miscarriage.
she bit her lip so hard and shook her head, trying to get rid of the image from her head, since it was too painful and scary for her to remember.
“Are you okay?” Silas asked, he noticed her and approached his woman. “Are you feeling unwell?”
“No. I am fine.” Hazel tried to give him a light smile. “I am only a little bit hungry.”
“The food will be ready in five minutes, why don’t you go and watch some movies?” he suggested. He knew why she reacted that way, but he didn’t want to have that conversation again and more so, Hazel didn’t seem to like having that talk over food.
And five minutes later, Silas came with food, the smell was delicious enough to make Hazel devoured the whole meat and soup on her own, she looked satisfied when her stomach was full. The nightmare must have exhausted her so much to the point it actually increased her appetite.
Once they were done eating, they watched the movie that Hazel picked, laying down lazily on the sofa.
Šilas hugged her from behind, while Hazel nestled against his chest. She looked at ease and occasionally would drift to sleep.
And when the second movie started, suddenly Silas said something that surprised Hazel.
“I will not take the job,” he said all of sudden.
Hazel turned her head to look at him. “What did you say?”
“I will not take the job,” Silas repeated what he said, but his eyes were still on the television.
“But, why?” Hazel had her own guess, but she wanted to hear it from his own mouth directly.
“Because I want to take care of you,” Silas didn’t say that he was going to take care of the baby, because there wouldn’t be a baby to take care of… they were not going to have a baby for the rest of their life.
Hazel took the remote and paused the move they were watching, she shifted her body, so she could face him. “Really? You will stay with me?”
“Hm.” This time, Silas put his focus on Hazel, he looked at his beautiful mate and caressed her cheek. She looked so beautiful it hurt. “Yes, I will stay with you.”
“Really? You are going to stay?” Hazel couldn’t contain her happiness. Recently, she had been very selfish to think that Silas would spend most of his time outside, working and interacting with people, but now when he said that he was not going to
in happiness. take the job, it almost felt like all the burden had been lifted from her shoulders and she wanted to cry

“Of course, I am happy. I will have you for myself!” Hazel admitted it shamelessly, which made Silas laughed. She liked the sound of his laughter, just as much as he did hers.
“Do you want us to stay in the wood again?” Silas asked next. He was willing to do everything in his power to make thing
easier for her, to make it less hurt for her S
“Of course, I want…” Hazel stopped herself, her smile fell. “But, if we moved to our house again, what about you?”
The reason why they moved here was because Silas needed to have interaction with other people and learned how to blend with human, but if they moved back to the wood house… their reason to move in the first place would be in vain.
“I don’t mind it.” Silas shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly. “You are more important.”
Hazel was too happy to notice the strange way Silas was speaking. He only included her, but never talked about the baby, neither he put the baby into consideration.
“I am happy that you even think that way, but I don’t want to move back completely,” Hazel said after some thought. “I don’t want you to be isolated again. I have seen how agitated you were after months not having to interact with other people. I know it would be hard on you.”
“I don’t mind it. I can get used to it.” Silas pecked her lips and intertwined his legs with hers, pulling her closer to him. “You have been trying to get used to this apartment with the noise that irked you, why I couldn’t do the same for you.”
Hazel was almost crying when she heard that. Silas actually noticed. He noticed her discomfort because of the noise from the road, when she used to live in a peaceful area.
“Let’s make compromise?” Hazel said. She didn’t want him to be deprived from his nature instinct too. “What if we stayed here for a week and then moved back again for a week? That way, you can still try to learn how to blend with people, right?”
“I will not have time to interact with them when I have you here to take care of.” Silas leaned over and kissed her.
