tone grim.
Emmanuel quietly let out a breath of relief. Hattie was one of the few close
friends his wife had, and he couldn’t let her die. “Where is Ms. Zelinsky now? I’ll
go see her right away.”
“She’s at a private residence on Ring Road 4. I’ll send you the location.”
“Got it.”
After receiving the location from Blake, Emmanuel quickly got into his car and
drove straight there.

a mansion. But for someone of Hattie’s status, it was practically exile.
Emmanuel quickly made his way into the house, surprised to find only two
maids present–no bodyguards at all. The stark contrast between this quiet

concern.
Emmanuel glanced at him, amused, and asked, “Why are you so worked up
over her? That’s not like you. Back when you worked for Magnus Zelinsky, you
never cared much about his well–being.”
“That’s different! I’m a man, and I like women!” Blake didn’t bother to lie. “So,
it’s normal for me to treat a male and a female boss differently, isn’t it?”

Emmanuel chuckled at Blake’s honesty. At least when it came to matters like
these, Blake didn’t hide his true nature. “I’ll do my best to save her.”
After finishing his examination, Emmanuel stood up. He already knew Hattie’s
situation well. She had been an experimental subject for the Holy Fire
organization, and worse still, she was the biological daughter of Freya, who,
despite being brainwashed by the organization, still had a shred of humanity
and had been trying to find a cure for her daughter. However, even after
obtaining the Yang Heart of the Sun, she hadn’t been able to completely heal
Hattie.
Now that Emmanuel had the Heart of the Sun, he just needed to find a way
for Hattie to absorb its yang energy. Once the balance between yin and yang
was restored, her condition should improve. But before he could proceed, he

door. Emmanuel had never met this man, but he knew who exactly he was.

malice, he didn’t flee. Instead, he smiled faintly. “You’ve already figured out
who I am, haven’t you?”
“I’d still recognize you even if you turned into ash!” Emmanuel growled, his
fury rising as he stood up.
“Hey, hey, calm down! Don’t get too worked up!” Blake quickly stepped
between the two, trying to diffuse the situation. “C’mon, give me a break, will

Blake turned to the man, glaring. “Fine, I’ll step aside and let him kill you then.”
“If he really wanted to kill me, you couldn’t stop him anyway,” the man replied
calmly, still smiling. “You couldn’t stop him before, and you certainly can’t
stop him now.”

“Thank you.” The man remained as polite as ever, raising three fingers as he
began. “First, you’re here to save Hattie. I’m her closest brother. If you kill me in
front of her, how much meaning would be left in saving her?

After completing the process, Hattie’s eyelids fluttered slightly. A moment
