Lady Rosa’s face flushed a deep crimson, a defiant spark in her eyes as she
faced what could be her end.
Perhaps she was certain that Emmanuel would not take her life.
With a reluctant sigh, Emmanuel loosened his grip, allowing her feet to settle
on the ground.
“Hey, I bet you didn’t know this,” she said with a coy smile.
As soon as her feet touched the floor, Lady Rosa plopped down, deliberately
raising her long legs high into the air. She crossed them with a teasing
flourish, revealing a view that would surely capture Emmanuel’s attention.
Emmanuel sighed in exasperation, feeling utterly baffled by this woman. She
seemed unafraid of reprimands or consequences, showing no concern for
her own safety.

slip through his fingers without getting the answers he sought.
“Hehe, Emmanuel, are you really going to let me go? Today, I’m an air
hostess. I can provide you with all sorts of services,” she teased, turning back
to him. Her eyes sparkled with mischief as she pouted her luscious red lips,
inviting him with a playful allure.

Despite her enticing demeanor, Emmanuel remained steadfast. He pushed
her down firmly, threatening, “If you don’t cooperate, don’t blame me for
being rude.”

Come on!”
Boldly, Lady Rosa unfastened a button, thrusting her chest forward as she
challenged Emmanuel, a smile of eager anticipation lighting up her face.
Having endured countless inhumane treatments as a killer, Lady Rosa
secretly longed for Emmanuel to exact punishment upon her. She craved
torment, a thorough reckoning for all she had suffered.
Emmanuel felt he had little choice. He removed her shoes, taking hold of her
delicate foot and pressing down hard with his fist. This woman had dared to
challenge a doctor, and surely, he could find a way to subdue her.

She giggled, seemingly unfazed by the discomfort he caused. She erupted
into uncontrollable laughter, her breath escaping her as her stomach
tightened from the effort. Despite her struggles, she managed to say, “So
much fun… A bit harder!”
Emmanuel narrowed his eyes, determined to apply even more pressure. “You
can still speak, huh? Let’s see if I can make you laugh to death!”
“Ahhhahaha…”
Lady Rosa laughed so hard that words slipped away from her. Drool began to
trickle down her chin as her hands flailed helplessly at her sides. What began
as playful banter transformed into a torrent of laughter and tears.
Desperation mingled with mirth, and she pounded the ground, pleading for
mercy.
Only then did Emmanuel relent, yet he continued his threat. “If you still won’t
talk, I’ll keep torturing you. We’ve got a few hours until we land, and I’m feeling
quite bored.”

revelation. He had no idea that Isabella was Teddy’s younger sister. Yet, he
was aware that Santiago’s wife had been the previous maestro. Rumors
whispered that the two maestros were blood sisters. If that were true, it
meant that Santiago’s wife must also be Teddy’s sister. The realization struck
him with clarity–did it suggest he had a familial connection to Teddy?
“Haha, Emmanuel, what are you thinking about?”

intense undercurrent of menace.
Yet, Lady Rosa, a seasoned assassin, showed no fear of death. Instead, she
rolled her eyes, adopting a casual posture that indicated she was willing to
leave her fate in his hands.
Grinding his teeth in frustration, Emmanuel relented and lifted her up. Without
hesitation, the woman seized the opportunity to lean in closer, attempting to
plant a kiss on his lips.

Recalling their previous encounter in Hero’s Village, Emmanuel anticipated
her move. Just as she leaned in, he swiftly tossed her aside.
She flipped in midair, landing awkwardly in a chair and letting out a huff.
“Since you treated me this way, I will only pay you half the reward. My master
is a member of the Redback Assassins. You can guess her identity, but
whether you’re right or wrong, I won’t reveal the answer.”
Emmanuel wracked his brain, relieved to finally extract a couple of answers.
He pressed on, “Is this the only plan for the Redback Assassins to assassinate
Ethan? Do you have any other schemes?*
*Hmph!*
Lady Rosa turned her face away defiantly, clearly refusing to respond to his
questions.
“Don’t test my patience!” Emmanuel warned, seizing her by the neck once
more and lifting her off the ground. Anger radiated from him as he declared,
“Even though your brother is my servant, if you insist on being my enemy,

smile. “I’ve said it before… Dying at your hands is better than dying at anyone

“You-” Emmanuel tightened his grip, and a trickle of blood began to flow
from her nose. Her eyes started to glaze over, losing their usual spark of
defiance.
Yet, in the end, he found himself unable to follow through with his threat. He
threw her back onto the ground and pointed a finger at her, reprimanding
her, “Do you have any idea that Teddy is an ambitious person? He colludes
with the Holy Trinity, intending to incite a war for power. How many lives will
be lost because of them? How many people will be left homeless? Do you
understand that?”
“Haha… Emmanuel, are you discussing such grand ideals with a mere woman
like me?” Lady Rosa lay sprawled on the floor, a smile still playing on her lips. “I
know nothing at all, and what you see, what you know, may not be the whole

Ho, however, was in no mood for a philosophical debate. He pointed at her,
his voice firm. “This is the last time I let you go. If you continue as an assassin,

With those final words, he stormed out of the cabin, leaving her behind. She
lay on the floor, laughter echoing in the air, but soon, tears began to stream
down her cheeks.
What a wretched man. Why did I ever like someone like him? she thought,
bitterness seeping into her voice. He is so arrogant and knows nothing of
cherishing a woman! He hurts my heart so much…

Not long after, Emmanuel returned to the first class, where he attended to the
more seriously injured members of Ethan’s team. With his swift intervention,
none of them had lost their lives.
“Mr. Wolf, thank goodness you made it on the plane. Otherwise, we would
