Chapter 31
Book II
Isolde Winters
“We ab**de by rules in this house.”
His voice was a tempting mix of honey and scotch, rich and intoxicating like the haunting notes of a cello echoing through the lavish room. The deep timber filled the air, bouncing off the polished wood, sumptuous leather, and intricate marble, wrapping around us like a warm embrace.
I swallowed, the weight of those words pressing heavily on my chest, and nodded.
There were nine of us gathered in the opulent, dimly lit study. It was me, seven other girls around my age, and him.
Even though he was just one figure among us, he dominated the space as if he were the room itself, saturating the air with his presence.
His gaze lingered on each of us, and as he purred, “Is that clear?” it felt like a velvet chain binding us to his will.
A brunette a few spaces away from me nodded rapidly, her eagerness palpable.
“Absolutely, Mr.-”
Lord.”
His words sliced through the tension, a firm correction that made her lips snap shut,
her expression shifting from confidence to bewildered chagrin.

“Wait, seriously?” she blurted.
Inside, I flinched at her casual tone, a warning bell ringing in my mind. I wanted to reach out, shake her, and hiss, “Shh! That’s not how you speak to him!”
Because I knew. Despite what others might think-that I was just another faceless applicant-there was a history here.
Sure, we were strangers in a sense, but I was more than just another potential hire. I knew more than the others could ever guess. I didn’t know his favorite movie, or what made him laugh, yet I was intimately aware of the taste of Carter Montgomery’s c***k.
I was willing to bet I was the only one who knew how he f**d.
And the realization pulsed between us; he knew I knew.
When he had first strode into the study, addressing us hopefuls, I had felt my heart perform a leap I couldn’t control. He’d closed the door behind him, commanding us to line up, and his piercing gaze danced over each of us until it landed on me.
In that heartbeat, his facade cracked, and he grinned.
Now, there was this other girl, challenging him? I stifled a laugh. I knew all too well what pushing him would lead to. I understood the all-consuming, merciless way this man got what he desired.
I had cast aside every ounce of my rationality with him just a week before at that nightclub. Every careful wall I had built vanished, leaving only raw desire in their place.
“Excuse me?” he interrupted, his accent cutting through the air like a knife, a steely edge sharpening his tone as he turned his full attention to the girl who dared to speak.
Her eyes widened, the realization hitting her like ice water. It was too late for regrets.
“I will be addressed as sir,” he purred, striding toward her, his towering frame casting her into shadow, his gaze sharp as steel as he leaned in.
Forbidden Lessons
“I-Yes, of course,” she murmured, her cheeks flushed as she dropped her gaze like a punished puppy. “You’ll be addressed as sir.
The curve of his lips hinted at a smirk as he nodded. “Yes. But not by you, I’m afraid.”
She blinked, confusion flickering in her expression. “What?”
“Asher will see you out.”
She blinked again and instinctively looked at the rest of us, panic settling in. “Oh, I—”
“Now.”
He motioned toward the door behind us, the way he spoke leaving no room for negotiation. The girl hesitated, a fly caught in his web of power, before spinning on her heel and practically sprinting out of the room.
That’s the kind of man he was. Carter Montgomery got precisely what he wanted, and the atmosphere around him crackled with that undeniable energy.
I knew, all too well, the intensity behind his demands. Just last weekend at The Eclipse Lounge, he had taken what he wanted from me in the cramped stall of the women’s room. And though I had willingly given it to him, he had stolen it from me, drawing gasps and whimpers like a skilled thief in the night, leaving me breathless and wanting,
The door clicked shut behind the girl, and he turned, his attention shifting back to us. “Now then, shall we continue?”
Right, let’s just breeze past that little incident and jump into one of the most critical interviews of my life with the same man who had unraveled me a week ago.
ארדן יופיטים
The man who had whispered wicked things in my ear, stripping away my reservations, peeling back the layers of my innocence, leaving me exposed and wishing for more.
Oh, and let’s not forget the minor detail that he had taken my v-card just seven days ago, right there in that nightclub bathroom.
What on earth was I stepping into?
