I Gotta Go My Own Way
Chapter 3 True Heiress
At this time, she had not returned to the capital, nor had she reunited with her family. Recalling the dream scene again, she instinctively touched her lips.

For some reasons, in the past thre dream of the scene from her previous life dying moments.
“Max.” She would recite the name in her heart as her emotions consume her. “In this life, I will come
to you.”
ily, a noble has come looking for you,” the old woman from next door ran in, excitement and gossip shining in her eyes, she blurted out. “They’ve come all this way in a posh car just to see you.”
Calculating the timing. Charlotte made some findings. In her previous life, it was also around this time that her family found this village and prepared to take her home. It was quite absurd. After giving birth to her, she had been switched out by the nanny.
The nanny’s daughter thus became the fake heiress of the Bellerose family, while she, the true heiress, was abandoned by the nanny and adopted by a poor village woman.
Her foster mother, a mentally challenged woman with no name, was called “Crazy Lady” by the villagers. As the daughter of “Crazy Lady“, Charlotte too had no name at first. But eventually, the woman began calling her Lily, and the villagers followed suit.
The old lady died three months back. She had accidentally fallen into a well, and Charlotte hadn’t
even been able to see her one last time.
The Charlotte family, after the nanny’s death, stumbled upon a shocking secret. They went to great lengths to find their daughter, and fate finally smiled upon them as they located the remote village
Charlotte looked at the woman who brought her news of the visitors. “Okay,” she said, her expression indifferent. She simply got up after replying, leaving the old woman behind as she stepped out of the adobe hut.
For the three days after her rebirth, she had been waiting for the Bellerose family to come and take her, to take her back to the capital. Only by returning to the capital could she reunite with those familiar faces of her past.
As she looked outside, a sleek black Bentley pulled in and parked outside the courtyard fence. The door swung open and a chubby middle–aged man stepped out, followed closely by a lavishly dressed, middle–aged lady.

As soon as they laid eyes on Charlotte, they both froze and stopped in their tracks. It took no more than a glance for them to recognize their true daughter. These features of hers, each one accentuating their own strengths.
Excitement painted Christopher’s face, but Vanessa’s expression stiffened as she glanced at her daughter.
Although they recognized this girl as their biological daughter, they had spent a full nineteen yea
years with their other daughter, Eleanor. Even without a blood connection, they had developed feelings for
her.
Eleanor, although physically frail, excelled in every other aspect, possessing a sensible and graceful personality. Yet this biological daughter was a sharp contrast to her.
Vanessa surveyed Charlotte from head to toe. She was wearing a white shirt that had been washed.
nearly to the point of fading, crumpled jeans, and sneakers smeared with mud.
Her expression grew darker as she looked on.
Who would have thought that her true daughter would turn out to be an uncultured village girl?
Deep Inside, she was struggling with shock and had to do her best to keep her disdain from her face.
Bringing this girl back would undoubtedly be a disgrace!
“Girl, I’ve come from the capital,” Christopher, unaware of his wife’s thoughts, smiled kindly at Charlotte. “We’re here to take you home.”
A warm smile graced Charlotte’s face as she looked at her parents. This time, she did not hesitate at
all.
“Yes,” she said with determination.
