Shakira’s delicate face lit up with a brighter smile after hearing this. Maris was stunned. “Why are you looking even happier? Has the pressure gotten to you?”
Curling her lips into a grin, Shakira replied, “Nothing, just reminded of the recent Norpa Technology incident.”

Yvette explained gently, “Tom has served the Ortiz family all his life. He’s watched Joe grow up, and he’s always been very kind to me.”

Yvette enjoyed their flattery, raising her chin slightly with a smug and proud expression.
Before long, Tom helped Martha enter the room.
“Good day, Mrs. Ortiz!” they all greeted quickly, with Yvette being the most enthusiastic, hurrying up to help and taking over Tom’s duties. “Grandma Martha, I hope we didn’t inconvenience you by coming over so suddenly.“.

Knowing Martha disliked beating around the bush, Yvette got straight the point.
“Grandma Martha, I’m representing Lopez Group to discuss a potential collaboration with Ortiz Group on an intelligent development project.” As she spoke, Yvette handed over the prepared proposal with both hands. “Please take a look.”
Martha raised her thin, white eyebrows but didn’t take the document from Yvette’s hands. Instead, she let out a chuckle, “You little girl, now you’re representing Lopez Group?” Her words had a teasing tone.
Wette’s face reddened with embarrassment, and she quickly explained, “Yes, Grandma Martha, I’ve been so busy that I haven’t had the time to tell you. I started an internship at Lopez Group, and this project is my first task.”
Hearing this, Martha laughed even more. “Just the other day, Joe said you started your own company, developing some sort of beauty products, and it became a national hit overnight. Now in just a few days, you’ve started an internship at Lopez Group?”
Martha smiled meaningfully, “You really have a strong entrepreneurial spirit, always juggling something.”
Yvette pretended not to catch the underlying meaning in Martha’s words. “Please don’t tease me. The family can help with the company, but personal growth and experience in the real world must come from my own efforts.”
Her hands holding the proposal were almost numb from maintaining the posture for so long. Finally, unable to bear it any longer, she pushed the proposal forward with a flattering smile.
She said, “Why don’t you take a look? Ortiz Group and Lopez Group are both leaders in the tech industry. A collaboration between the two would certainly push domestic technology to new heights.”
After a slight pause, Yvette added with hidden intent, “And Joe has always been very interested in the deep development of smart cars. If Ortiz Group undertakes this project, he would surely be thrilled.”
Martha scrutinized her deeply for a few moments. Finally, she took the proposal and began to review it.
Yvette’s face lit up again, feeling relieved. She was confident that with Joe’s influence, Martha would surely approve of the collaboration.
