Suddenly, she noticed Sanborn trailing behind me, mad her face shifted She screamed at her, “What are you doing touching Chlor’s gown with your bithy mist”
“Let go of it now, or I’ll cut your hands off!”
Somborn quickly released her grip, stammering, “Mom, today’s my birthday too.”
Before she could finish, Trick Randon slapped her hard across the face, “You filthy thing, still trying to celebrate your birthday? Go to the kitchen and find some leftoverst
The evening went smoothly. The Bryan family was pleased with my performance, especially my fiancé, Andy Bryan, whose eyes were practically glued to me.
He announced right there that once I returned from studying abroad, we would hold our wedding.
Moon Lunar was pleased with the development, as it meant the ongoing partnership between the Lumar and Bryan familles would continue.
That night, Moon Lamar quickly finalized my study abroad plans and summoned Trick and Sonborn

Moon Lunar, with a haughty expression, handed Trick a check. “This is your reward for serving my daughter for eighteen years. Take the money and get out.”
Trick, unsatisfied, bit her lip and glanced at Spencer Led, quietly pleading,
“Madam, I’ve taken care of Chloe for so long. Why don’t you let me go with her abroad? Chloe can’t get by without me.”
I chuckled softly. “Ms. Randon, don’t flatter yourself. You’re just a servant. As long as I pay well, people like you are a dime a dozen.”
Trick was taken aback by my words. Her eyes reddened, and her face twisted with hurt. “Chloe. I’ve
been with you since you were born. How… how could you be so cold to me?”
Sonborn timidly touched Trick’s hand. “Mom, you still have me, I…”
“Get away!” Trick, unable to accept Sonborn’s sympathy, shoved her aside. “What can you compare to Chloe? Chloe is…”
