Chapter 11-
+ 5 Points
Chapter 11
Three years have passed in the blink of an eye.
At this moment, I find myself on a small island in the Southern Hemisphere, enjoying the leisurely pace of vacation.
Beside me, little Levi waves his chubby hand, pleading, “Please, can I have an ice cream?”
The young man next to me, helping me apply sunscreen, chuckles softly, “Call me ‘Daddy‘ and I’ll buy you one.”
“Daddy, Daddy, Daddy!” Levi fires off, his voice a rapid succession.
“Don’t spoil him too much, or he’ll be begging

for sweets again,” I remark, but before I can finish, the two of them bounce away, giggling.
I helplessly put on my sunglasses and bask in the sunlight.
Suddenly, my back tightens, and the hands massaging me increase their pressure.
I frown in protest, “Hey, take it easy!”
The breath behind me seems heavier, but I
brush it off.
Yet, when that warm hand slides down my spine and suddenly presses hard just below my waist, I can’t help but let out a yelp.
Fortunately, no one is around to witness my
embarrassment.

I turn around angrily, my expression freezing in shock.
It’s Jarvis.
He stands there, barely restraining his anger.
His figure is lean, dark circles under his eyes hinting at a lack of rest for some time.
“You have no idea how long I’ve been searching for you,” Jarvis’s voice cracks, “I thought you…”
“What’s wrong? Am I making you unhappy just by being alive?” I try to steady my emotions.
Jarvis’s eyes are bloodshot as he stares intently at me, his voice trembling with barely contained frustration. “I thought I’d never find you in this

world and would have to search for you in hell. If I hadn’t heard that someone saw you here, we might never have met again.”
“And then what? Do you think you’re some kind of prized treasure?” I rise, expressionless, trying to walk away, but Jarvis grips my wrist tightly, pulling me into his embrace.
“I’ve searched for you for three years! Three whole years, and the only companion I had through those cold, long nights was your notebook. I would sacrifice anything for you. Even knowing you deceived me, I still softened. All I want is to return to the past. Is my sincerity not enough? Are you really going to waste my feelings for you like this?”
Jarvis’s eyes glisten with tears as he shouts in despair, “Riley, do you even have a place for me

in your heart?”
In the midst of our argument, Levi has returned, thrusting two ice cream cone’s onto Jarvis’s knees, the sticky ice cream clinging stubbornly to his suit fabric.
“You bad guy, let go!” Levi yells.
Jarvis looks down at Levi, who bears a
resemblance to him, and a flicker of gentleness crosses his face. “Mine?”
Before I can respond, Levi calls out to the distance, “Daddy, come quick! There’s a bad guy!”
Jarvis’s expression darkens, and he grits out, “You let my son call someone else ‘Daddy‘!”

Chris rushes over and punches Jarvis, causing blood to trickle from his lip. He wipes it away while stopping the bodyguards behind him, who are ready to strike.
“Riley, come back with me. Otherwise, I won’t let that pretty boy off easy.”
Chris, brimming with youthful bravado, retorts, “Old man! Do you dare threaten me?”
At Chris’s command, the Aguilars‘ elite guards swiftly surround us.
“Our child is gone,” I say, pulling Levi and turning to leave.
Jarvis and his bodyguards try to pursue us but are blocked by the Aguilars‘ guards.

“Don’t go! You said you loved me! I don’t believe that diary was all a lie!” His desperate cries echo behind us.
Three years ago, I was under constant surveillance, struggling to breathe. I had no choice but to cut off my own news through connections and leave Jarvis a “parting gift“. a way for him to forever remember me and the despair of our child’s death while he was entangled with his new love.
I amplified his guilt, ensuring that in the days. to come, whenever he touched happiness, that guilt would shadow him relentlessly. The diary contained half–truths; Levi’s mother was my partner, and Levi was my godson.
Jarvis, unwilling to let go, secretly collected a strand of Levi’s hair for testing. The results left

him despondent for quite some time, forcing him to finally accept the harsh reality that our child was gone, all on the day he was engaged to Joey, stepping into a loving family, where the parents shared a deep bond.
