Rhonda and the maids had set up dinner and invited Gary and Lisette to join them. After the meal, Rhonda suggested they get some rest, as it was getting quite late.
Indeed, it was already 11:00 pm.
As Gary and Lisette headed to the bedroom, Gary felt a mix of nervousness.
It was his first time sharing a bed with a woman, especially someone he deeply loved.
He couldn’t help but feel nervous.
“You go ahead and wash up first,” Gary said, avoiding eye contact.
“Okay.”
Lisette also felt nervous. She grabbed her pajamas and went to the bathroom.
She knew that something might happen tonight.
Despite preparing herself mentally for the night, Lisette couldn’t shake her nervousness.
Gary watched her go into the bathroom, his feelings becoming more intense.
He forced himself to look away, went to the nearby room with his pajamas, and found Rhonda there.
“Mom, what are you doing here?”
“What am I doing here? I should be asking you what you’re doing in this room!
She was puzzled why he wasn’t in his room.
Was he trying to act like a gentleman?
Gary understood her concern and sighed. “I was just getting a shower here. I’ll go to the bedroom after.”
“Really?”
“Yes. There’s nothing here. How am I supposed to sleep?”
Rhonda looked at the empty side room and nodded, acknowledging his point.
Gary then suggested, “Mom, it’s late. You should head to bed.”
Rhonda grabbed his hand. Glancing at the tightly closed bedroom door, she leaned in and whispered, “Gary, you’re not getting any younger. It’s time to think about having a child.”
He was speechless.
Returning to the bedroom, Gary found Lisette already in bed, her back turned to him.
He couldn’t tell if she was asleep, but it made his nervousness dissipate somewhat.

them, there was still a gap,
He used the remote to turn off the lights, plunging the room into darkness.
Lisette’s eyes opened as the light disappeared. She was tense, though not asleep yet.

She was still apprehensive. Having only been with William before, the idea of being with Gary made her
anxious.
She was scared that she would reject Gary when the time came.
Time passed with no movement from Gary, and Lisette thought he might have fallen asleep. But she knew better–he hadn’t reacted since getting into bed.
As the silence lingered, Lisette slowly turned to face Gary. His body tensed as he realized she had moved.
He hadn’t heard a sound from her since she got into bed, so he was aware she wasn’t asleep. He remained
still, trying to calm his racing thoughts, but for it difficult.
Gary doubted if Lisette was truly asleep or just moving unconsciously. He feared he might lose control if she were to shift more.
Despite his efforts, being so close to her, smelling her scent, and hearing her breathing made it hard for him to stay composed.
“Are you asleep?”
Lisette’s voice broke the silence, clear in the dark.
Gary relaxed a bit at hearing her voice and turned toward her. “No.”
In the darkness, though they couldn’t see each other, they could sense the other’s presence.
Lisette’s hand, which had been tightly held, now relaxed. “What are you thinking about?”
“About you.”
The room was quiet, and Gary’s breath became shallow. He regretted his words, realizing they might be misinterpreted as a hint.
Before he could explain, Lisette made a rustling sound and moved closer, embracing him.
