Lisette clutched at Gary’s shirt. Her face rubbed against his chest before she buried it deeper into his
embrace.
Gary looked down at her. Under the soft light, her skin appeared fine, smooth, and tender; her cheeks flushed, and her long lashes curled beautifully. She was so obedient and gentle that it made his heart melt.
However, he could only manage a bitter smile.
She trusted him so much that he didn’t dare to act on the thoughts running through his mind.
This woman was his angel, and Gary couldn’t bring himself to hurt her.
Gently, Gary carried Lisette to the bed. He covered her with a blanket and then headed to the bathroom.
Not long after, he returned with a basin of warm water and towel. He carefully wiped her face, hands, and feet as though he were caring for a child.
Lisette didn’t stir. She was deeply asleep.
Gary sighed helplessly.
He vowed never to let her drink with others again.
Otherwise, she wouldn’t even know if something bad happened to her.
After tucking her in, Gary stood beside the bed and watched her for a long moment before finally leaving.
Instead of returning to the guest room, Gary took a glass of wine and stood outside on the balcony, occasionally sipping as he gazed at the closed bedroom door.
On a night like this, it was impossible not to feel something, but he had the self–control to resist.
He didn’t know how long he stood there when a faint sound came from the bedroom. Gary paused a little, then he quickly opened the door and rushed in.
“Lisette?” he called out, hurrying to her side, but then stopped.
Lisette was crying; her eyes closed tight, tears streaming down her face. The sight was tearing at his heart.
She was mumbling something; her voice was barely audible.
Gary leaned closer and strained to listen.
“Please… please spare my child….
“Please… William…
Gary straightened his back, and a realization dawned. William? Was he the one who had hurt her?
At Eston Hill, a renowned villa district, warm lights illuminated a modern Olido–style villa and added a touch of warmth to the otherwise cold atmosphere.

her.
“I made all these dishes myself. Try them.”
William raised an eyebrow. He was clearly skeptical Mabel could cook.
Mabel tossed chestnut–colored waves over her shoulder. She exuded a sensual charm and asked, “What’s the matter? Don’t like my cooking?”
William didn’t answer but picked up his fork and sampled a piece of pork rib.
Mabel asked, “Do you like it?”
She leaned forward. Her eyes were clear with anticipation.
Though she thought it tasted fine, she wasn’t sure if it would suit his picky palate.
William wiped his mouth with a napkin and looked at her. He said, “Not bad.”
Mabel smiled and said. “Though I’d love to hear you say it’s perfect, it would be too insincere for you to say that about my first attempt. I’ll accept this answer.”
She raised her glass and said, “But I’ll make sure your answer is ‘perfect‘ in the future.”
William’s deep, dark eyes flickered and said, “No need
“What?”
“You might hurt your hands.”
Mabel’s eyes sparkled with laughter, and she said, “For you, I don’t care if my hands get hurt.”
She was willing to do it for him.
The dinner was pleasant, and the atmosphere was good
Mabel had drunk quite a bit. She sat down on his lap and hugged him. “William…”
William gently held her hand and said, “Mabel, you’re drunk.
Mabel looked at him through her misty eyes and added, “I don’t want to wait until we’re married. I want
you now,”
William’s eyes darkened.
Other than that, his expression remained unchanged.
“William, help me
William did not respond to her no matter how she twisted and rubbed against him, as she moved like a
seductress.
Finally, Mabel stopped. She glared at him with an icy gaze and asked, ou’re not interested in me?”
Manu men desired her von William remained unmmsid

“It’s not the right time.”
He spoke, setting her aside.
Mabel stared at him. She searched for any hint of desire in his eyes. His expression was calm and indifferent as usual.
Was he really holding back?
No, she couldn’t see any sign of restraint,
He just didn’t want her.
“William, I command you to claim me now.”
