Chapter 157
Fiora’s face heated up, a subtle blush blooming like peach blossoms, charming and captivating in its innocence.
Standing before the man she admired, she couldn’t help having dirty thoughts.
Swallowing hard, she reached out to touch his chest…
Stanley stepped back, looking at Fiora in surprise. Fiora’s hand hung awkwardly in mid–air, embarrassment washing over her as her cheeks turned an even deeper shade of red.
“Sorry…” she stammered, retracting her hand.
Stanley looked down and saw her flushed cheeks. His heart softened when he thought of how she had stayed up all night by his side, then got busy in the kitchen early in the morning, making breakfast for him. Here was a wealthy young lady who could have easily been pampered at home, yet she chose to roll up her sleeves and care for him. In contrast, Iris was cold and indifferent, hanging up on his calls and treating him heartlessly!
Fiora was a woman who was sincerely good to him. He felt deeply moved.
“There’s nothing to apologize for,” he assured her.
Fiora looked up, astonished by his words.
Stanley reached out, gently touching her head. “There’s nothing wrong with liking someone.”
She was merely struggling to control her feelings.
As Fiora met Stanley’s warm gaze, she felt a rush of warmth spread through her. Her lips trembled slightly, unable to form words, but her eyes sparkled with excitement.
“You can go out now. I can clean myself,” Stanley said.
Fiora nodded, “Okay.”
Yet, she was still worried about him. “If you need anything, just call me. I’ll be right outside.”
Stanley smiled. “You silly girl.”
Fiora returned the smile, her expression radiant, like a flower in full bloom. Perhaps she truly was a silly girl. Ever since she fell hopelessly in love with Stanley, she had

been acting like a complete fool.
It took Stanley an hour to shower and dress with one hand, but when he finally emerged, he found Fiora still waiting by the door.
He was surprised, but also touched.
“I’m hungry,” he admitted.
“I’ll serve the food right away,” she replied.
Stanley sat at the dining table and watched her bring out the dishes from the kitchen.
She placed a bowl of soup in front of him and said, “You should drink plenty of this soup.”
After a night of heavy drinking, he needed some warm food to comfort his stomach.
After taking a spoonful of the soup, his eyes lit up. It was really good. “Did you make this?”
Fiora smiled, her eyes sparkling. “Do you like it?”
“It’s not bad at all,” he replied. “It tastes fresh, and it’s not greasy.”
Fiora squeezed her spoon and said, “Y–Yes, I made it. If you like it, I’ll make it for you again.”
She seldom lied, but the idea of disappointing him made the words slip out before she could think.
“Oh, by the way,” she added, her tone shifting slightly, “when I came last night, a friend of yours was here too.” She gently bit her lip and poked at the food in her bowl with her spoon. “I don’t know any of your friends. Will you introduce them to me?”
Her tentative inquiry was a test of sorts.
If Stanley agreed, it signified that he had acknowledged her status as his girlfriend.
Stanley looked up at her, and she lowered her head, feeling shy and guilty.
“Do you have time tonight?” he asked.
Seeing her being so careful with him reminded Stanley of himself.
He could understand her longing for love.
Fiora abruptly looked up. “Yes!”

“Let’s have dinner together this evening at seven. I’ll bring my two best friends,” Stanley suggested.
He agreed? Fiora could hardly believe what she was hearing.
“R–Really?”
She was so excited that she was getting teary.
“Really,” he confirmed.
He picked up his phone to send the text in their group chat, but he couldn’t type with one hand, so he sent a voice message instead.
[Tonight at seven, dinner at the Mahogany Garden, my treat.]
Henry and Lester were rich kids who thrived on food and fun. They always had time. They responded eagerly.
