Chapter 144
Jason parked the car, and they both stepped out.
Iris stood in the warm sunlight, gazing up at the blue sky and fluffy white clouds. The bright rays illuminated the expansive equestrian field in the distance.
“Let’s go,” Jason said, leading her inside.
Iris nodded and followed him. They soon reached the reception area, where the manager spotted Jason and promptly came forward to greet him. “It’s great to see you again!”
His familiarity and respect indicated that Jason was a regular customer.
“Hello,” Jason replied with a slight nod. “Please take her to change clothes.”
Iris‘ outfit was unsuitable for horseback riding. She had to change into riding attire.
The manager smiled at her and said, “No problem. This way, ma’am.”
“Thank you,” Iris responded, following the manager to the changing area. A female attendant was called in to assist her.
The equestrian attire was all brand new. Iris wasn’t sure if there would be extra charges for the attire, but it seemed like she didn’t have to pay; Jason would cover the costs. Since he was a regular, he might even receive a discount.
She selected a set of black equestrian attire, including a riding helmet, gloves, breeches, and boots, knowing that safety was paramount for a novice like her.
The reason why there were special clothes for horseback riding was because ordinary clothes were loose, so they might get caught while riding, which was dangerous on horseback.
The equestrian attire fit snugly and,was neat, without any unnecessary embellishments. Because it was winter, her clothes were thick, so her figure was not visible in casual clothes. However, the equestrian attire showed off her figure very well, especially her long, slender legs and slim waist. Although she was thin, she was curvy where it mattered.
When Jason saw her in the attire, his eyes brightened with appreciation.
“Are you not changing, Mr. Just?” Iris asked as had only removed his suit jacket, leaving on his white shirt and gray waistcoat.

“I don’t need to. Let’s go,” he replied.
The manager led them to the stables to select horses. “Would you like me to bring out your Shadowfax?” he asked Jason.
“No need. Pick a gentle horse for her,” Jason instructed.
“Okay.” The manager went to fetch a horse. Iris asked curiously, “You have a horse here, Mr. Just?”
Jason grunted lightly in acknowledgment.
“What kind of horse? Can I see it?” she inquired, her curiosity piqued.
“You’re quite curious, aren’t you?” he smiled.
Iris brushed her hair in embarrassment. She was curious because she had never been to this kind of place before.
“Over there, I’ll show you,” Jason said.
She happily followed along.
Because of the season, the field was not that lush. However, the pine trees surrounding the area still provided a comforting green.
Iris had expected a stable to be messy, but the place was exceptionally clean, with no unpleasant odors.
There were dedicated staff bathing, grooming and feeding the horses, as well as maintaining the cleanliness of the stalls.
“Mr…” As they approached, a young groom noticed Jason and began to speak, but Jason interrupted him. “Bring out my horse, please.”
“Yes, sir,” the groom replied.
Moments later, a magnificent horse was led out of the stable. Iris admired its tall stature, graceful and symmetrical body, long neck, broad chest, strong hindquarters,
and and thick, flowing mane and tail. Most striking were its deep, expressive eyes long ears, which gave it a regal appearance.
Seeing the horse up close, Iris finally understood what a fine horse looked like. It was breathtakingly beautiful, even to someone with no knowledge of horses like her.
Jason took the reins, stroking the horse’s head gently. “Would you like to try riding my horse?” he asked.
