I just stared at him, and he continued washing those veggies. “I want that too. I am already 18 and yeah.. I also feel a connection with her. It may be a possibility that she is my mate.”I retorted while tightening my fist.
I hated this conversation with him, but I guess we needed this conversation. He stopped washing, but didn’t look at me. After a few seconds, he started washing the veggies again. I also continued my work, and sliced the meat in the plate.
After that, none of us said a word and we worked on making sandwiches in a perfect synchronization. I furrowed my browS when I saw him wrapping two sandwiches in a silver foil. “Aurora always eat something after midnight. She always go hungry at that time.” He told me, and I just nodded in response.
After finishing making sandwiches, I also heated the milk for us. We ate and drank in silence. I had so many things to ask him, but I didn’t want to disturb this peaceful moment between us. I washed the dishes after we finish eating.
“Are you going to the hospital?” I asked him when I saw him putting everything in a paper bag. “Yeah… do you want to come?” he asked me after replying me in a calm tone.
“Let me finish this. I don’t feel like sleeping at all.” I answered him and hurriedly washed the plates and glasses. To my surprise, he waited for me patiently. “Let’s go.” I said to him after putting the dishes on their places.
We both walked out of the kitchen and walked towards the exit. I took my bike keys from the board before exiting the pack house. “Let me drive.” Suddenly Noah asked me while raising his hand towards me. I furrowed my brows in surprise.
I never saw him driving a bike. “Are you sure that we don’t end up on a hospital bed?” I asked him in a teasing tone while putting the keys on his palm. “Very funny.” He lamented and I just giggled while taking the paper bag from his hand.
We both walked to my bike. “Where are you two going at this time?” We looked in the direction of the voice and saw Hank coming to our ways. He must be on night duty tonight. “We are going to the hospital. We made sandwiches for Aurora.” Noah answered him while hopping on the bike.
“The pack is still not safe to roam around in night, pup, and you two know better than anyone else.” He warned us, but I just scoffed internally. “We know, Hank… thanks for worrying for us… we will mind-link you immediately if anything happens to our way.” I answered him this time in a calm tone, suppressing my annoyance.
He was still hesitant, but nodded in response in the end. I hopped behind Noah and he drove the bike away. He didn’t drive the bike a fast speed, but I liked the speed. I closed my eyes and inhaled sharply.
“How did you feel when your wolf tried to come out for the first time?” Noah asked me calmly after some time. I smiled while looking towards the moon in the sky. “I remembered that was full moon night. I felt hot, agitated, and in lot of pain as soon as the clock struck midnight.” I answered him while shuddering a little.
My first shift was awful because of the full moon. I was capable of half-shift before that. Still I felt the break and relocation of all my joints one by one. “Was it very painful” Noah asked me in a stiff voice this time.
My heart skipped a beat when I realized something. “S**t.” I cursed when I looked at the time. “Noah… are you feeling hot?” I asked him in a worried tone while holding his shoulders, scooting towards him. “I am feeling breathless.” He answered me in a painful tone this time.
“Stop the bike.” I commanded him, still holding his shoulders. He obliged and stopped the bike at one side of the road. “Dad….. Calf Alpha Adrian… Noah is going to shift.” I mind-linked my father immediately, but to my dismay, he had blocked the mind-link.
Affer parking the bike, I almost pulled Noah down. He wobbled and fell to the ground while clutching his chest. “Hank….. Hank….. Noah is going to shift.” I screamed through mind-link while trying to hold Noah.

“It will be okay, Noah… it will pass soon. You… you are lucky that it isn’t the full moon night” I tried to comfort him while dragging him away from the road. I needed to take him to the forest somehow. “It… It’s awful. It’s hurting so much” He groaned in pain while trying to keep himself up from the ground on his threes as he was still clutching his chest
“It will pass soon, Noah… It will pass soon.” I tried to comfort him, but I was now panicking, I knew Noah wasn’t a normal alpha wolf, and that was why, I didn’t want anyone else to see his shift. “Where are you pups?” I got a mind-link from Alpha Adrian, and I breathed out in relief.
“We… I… I am taking him to the forest line.” I informed him while pulling Noah on my back. 1 will be there in a few minutes, pup.” Alpha Adrian informed me in a hurried tone. “I am coming to you” Hank also mind-linked me at the same
time.
“Let me take control. It will be easy for me to contact his wolf in my form.” Blaze insisted and without any hesitation, I did what he asked. Blazed shifted into our wolf form, with Noah lying flat on his back.
Blaze ran towards the forest in a fast pace. I tried to mind-link Noah so that I could comfort him “Hang on there, Noah you will be fine within a few minutes.” I tried to comfort him in a worried tone.
Suddenly he howled aloud in pain, digging his nails deep inside our fur. Blaze hissed in pain but we didn’t have time to think about our wounds. “Beast… try to stay calm…. try to stay calm… this is the only way to lessen the pain I tried to mind- link his wolf. This was the same way that my father contacted Blaze when I was writhing in pain.
Blazed told me later about that. To my surprise, I heard a hum as response from Beast. I breathed out in relief at the back of my mind. I saw Blaze growling lowly while running towards the forest.
