Aurora’s POV.
“Are you ready to go with me tomorrow?” Hunter asked me and I passed a weak while exiting the examination room.
To be honest. I wasn’t sure now if I should go to the Black Shadow Pack for his boxing match.
“What is it? Are you scared?” he asked me in a concerned tone when I didn’t answer him. I sighed and looked around. It was a relief that we had a few students around us. “No… I am not scared about going there. I am sure that Alpha Devon will not let Noel do anything recklessly to jeopardize our alliance with them.” I answered him truthfully.
We almost reached the end of the corridor leashing to the staircase. I walked to the other side of the corridor and stopped near the railings. “Then what is bothering you?” he asked me in the same concerned tone,
I looked at the ho**on while blinking hard. The sky was clear and the weather was warm. Yet I felt chills, “What is it, Aurora? You know that you can tell me everything, right?” he insisted in a very low and cautious tone.
“This is is not about me. Hunter. This is about my wolf, Selene.” I whispered while lowering my eyes lashes. “What about her?” he asked me immediately in a confused tone. I sighed and looked at him blankly.
“Unlike you guys. I have almost zero control over my wolf, Hunter. She comes and goes according to her wishes. You know very well that it was Selene who fought with those rogues. She…she knew everything that Noel did to me in the past, a and 1. I am afraid that she would do something to teach him a lesson.” I explained the reason truthfully.
“Oh. He muntered and then looked at the sky while pouting lightly. I sighed as I had expected this reaction from him. I followed his lead and looked back at the sky. After our conversation near the river, our friendship grew stronger and Iy glad that I had someone beside me who truly cared about me completely unbothered by my past.
There was a comfortable silence between us but I could sense his sadness and worry both directed to me. “I… I am sorry, Hunter I am truly sorry… You know that I really want to go with you and cheer for you. I apologized to him sincerely in a very low tone.
“Don’t be sorry, love. I know you… And yeah.. you are right. Selene is completely opposite to you, and I agree with you that she can do something to teach him a lesson. To be honest, he is po match to her when it comes to ruthlessness.” He comforted me and winked me in the end.
I immediately glared at him while pouting lightly. He laughed and flicked the tip of nose playfully. “But I promise you that I will punch him ten times to avenge you, and will defeat him for you.” He promised me and I smiled widely.
Hunter didn’t need to fight my battles still I was happy that he wanted to avenge me. “Hey, Aurora… What are you doing here?” I sighed when I heard Frank’s cheerful voice. I giggled when I saw Hunter frowning, showing his displeasure openly
I looked back and the faint smile that I had on my lips vanished when I saw all of them coming towards us. “We are going to the canteen. Come and join us.” Frank offered in the same cheerful tone. “No, thanks… We have something else to do before going back. So, you guys carry on.” Hunter immediately refused in a flat tone and grabbed my arm.
I glanced at Noah and saw him clenching his jaw while staring at Hunter with a murderous gaze. I clearly couldn’t understand this guy. He was sneaking in my room in night after I felt asleep and slept with me while holding me into his
arms.
Last night, I locked the door properly and put an extra lock to avoid him, but he climbed the window and entered my room. I was so p**d at him that I didn’t want to see him. “Don’t be spoil spot, Hunter. She needs something to eat after every two hours. You know Martha’s instructions, right?” Evan chimed in this time.
I was about to refuse when my stomach suddenly made a loud sound, embarrassing me in the process. I immediately stríacked my lips and lowered my head in embarrassment. “You heard, right? Let’s go.” Evan said further and then approached me
I slowly removed my arm from Hunter’s grip and was about to refuse Evan’s hand towards my arm when Noah suddenly

pulled him back. The next second, he was beside me on the other side and wrapped his hand around my shoulder.
“You guys go and order food for us too. I have something to discuss with Aurora.” Noah instructed them in a firm tone. “Hey… You should ask about her permission before laying your hands on her. Hunter scolded Noah angrily and reached for his hand on my shoulder.
Noah immediately stepped back, pulling me with him in the process to avoid Hunter’s hand. “Yeah… you are right… But I don’t need her permission.” Noah replied to him arrogantly, and before I could protest, he started walking towards the staircase while tightening his grip on my shoulder. I was forced by him to walk with him.
“This is not fair, Noah… I am an individual too, and yeah… you so need my permission to touch me just like others.” I scolded him in a stern but low voice. He was the future alpha, and I didn’t want anyone around us to hear what I said to him.
“No. I don’t need your permission because I am different from them.” He immediately denied, and I cringed on his self- obsessed statement. “Don’t be c**y, Noah, and please remove your hand from me.” I scolded him again while trying to remove his hand from my shoulder. I was both annoyed and angry with him now.
He suddenly changed his way and dragged me with him towards the fire exit. “Noah, where are you taking me?” I yelled at him when I realized what he was doing. The school is not crowded today as not everyone had exam today, and no one had any reason to go towards the fire exit in normal circumstances,
So I would be alone and totally vulnerable to him there. I tried to move away from him, but he suddenly wrapped his hand around my waist, flipping me towards him. He kicked opened the door and the next second, He pinned me to the door, putting his hand at the back of my head
I glared at him, but I was scared at the same time. He leaned towards me without showing any emotions on his face, and I gulped down in fear. My hands were now glued at his chest, trying to keep the distance between our bodies, but now my front body was completely crushed by his front body.
“Noah…. You.. you are crushing me.” I complained in a very low voice while moving my face in the other direction, lowering my head in the process too. “Why you always made me angry, huh?” he asked me in a low and husky voice but there was no trace of anger in his voice.
“Wh. what did I do? I. I did nothing to anger you.” I stuttered hard and my heart started running a marathon inside my chest because of fear. He didn’t say a word to me, but leaned so close to me that I could feel his hot breaths on my cheek and neck.
“You know that I don’t like seeing Hunter around you yet you are always with him.” He complained in the same husky voice, but I was surprised to hear him. “He he is my only friend in the pack, Noah… Yo.. do you still hate me so much th.. that you want me to distance myself from my only friend?” I asked him in disbelief, but more with heartache.
They stopped bullying me and the way they were taking care of me these days, I thought that they stopped hating me. It turned out that I was too naïve to understand their tactics. He suddenly cupped my face and stroked my check by the pad of his thumb.
“You
got this wrong, my love.. I don’t hate you anymore… No… Ishouldn’t have hated you at the first place…. bu.. but if he is your only friend th… then what am I to you?” he asked me after answering my question, looking straight into my eyes.
I blinked harder, not know what to answer him. He waited patiently for me to answer his question. “Tell me, Aurora….. what am I to you?” he asked me in the same husky voice closing the distance between our faces this time.
“I… I don’t know, Noah…I…. I really don’t know,” I answered him truthfully in a very meak voice. He furrowed his brows, completely unhappy with my answer. “L. I am grateful to you the that you don’t hate me anymore, but… but we are not friends. I continued and his grip on my waist increased immediately.
“… I am totally confused with yo, your behaviour towards me, Noah… and that’s why, I don’t know how to describe our relationship.” I explained further in the same fearful tone, and his jaw immediately clenched harder.
