Noah’s POV.
“Why aren’t you understand what I am saying, Noah? My blood won’t be effective the second time.” Hunter replied to me with a troubled look on his face. “Why not? It worked earlier and there is no way that your blood suddenly lost its healing abilities.” I retorted immediately, trying to persuade him to do the same thing that he did in the village.
The whole hospital and the temporary tents outside the hospital were in chaos because more than fifty patients went into a critical condition and the number was increasing with every passing minute.
He sighed while looking at me helplessly. “What are you hiding, Hunter? You better speak quickly…. We don’t have spare time to drag this conversation any longer. People are dying.” Evan confronted him this time in a cold tone.
Hunter groaned in frustration while running his fingers through his hair and looked in the other direction, his other hand on his hip. I was really disappointed in him now. The conditions of all those patients that we brought from the village started deteriorating once again a few minutes ago, and now we didn’t have any solution of this problem instead of following the previous solution.
“Why not try your blood, Noah? You may not have healing abilities like him, but you are an alpha and your blood has 100 times better healing powers than us. I am sure that we will get some time to save them if we inject your blood into their blood stream.” Clarke proposed this time, and my eyes immediately lit up.
“We can’t do this…. We don’t you guys grasping what I am implicating here?” Hunter suddenly yelled at us while jerking his head lightly. I narrowed my eyes at him, asking him to explain. He took a deep breath and then marched towards me
He stopped right in front of me, and looked straight into my eyes. “It’s about Aurora and I don’t want to say anything more than this.” He whispered and my heart trembled hard. “We should go out and try to help them instead of fighting here.” Evan interjected in a pi*** tone when I saw about to ask Hunter something.
“Where is Frank?” I asked Evan, still my eyes locked with Hunter If he couldn’t answer me, I was sure that Frank could. “Noah….. we can’t talk.” Hunter pressed the words this time while glaring at me. “Listen to him… I guess we have some moles around us.” Beast urged me, and I clenched my fists tightly once again.
“Okay…. Let’s go and see how can we help them.” I said to all of them and we all stormed out of that small utility room where we had that meeting. We almost ran to the temporary shed that we had made for those patients. The whole hospital was full. We had put more than three patients in single room too and the suite reserved for the alpha family.
“If we know what is the cause of this disease.” Evan muttered behind me. I didn’t say anything because I also had the same question. If we know the cause, we can find the solution, but the problem here was that we didn’t know anything why they all were suffering.
“Vampire’s venom.” Clarke spoke this time, and we all stopped in our tracks. Hunter hit my shoulder as I suddenly moved towards them and he was behind me. “What the hell, man?” he yelled while rubbing his chest where he hit my shoulder. I cringed my nose in disgust because at the same time, his lips touched my cheek too.
“Vampire’s venom? What the hell is this?” Evan asked him in confusion and shock. “Vampire’s venom is 100 time more poisonous than rogues’ venom, but act as slow poison if given in a very low amount for a good period of time. It slowly deteriorate internal o**ns and if not spotted early, can damage them permanently” Hunter explained while rubbing his chest.

This was true. Clarke had a keen interest in our history and everything related to our ancestors. “They succeeded in mixing up a small amount of that venom in the stream on regular basis and that was why, we didn’t get any whiff about it even when we tested the waters so many times. I don’t know what made them add a strong amount this time.” Hunter explained further in a serious tone.

“You two.” I pointed Hunter and Clarke after thinking something. “Go to the library and search everything that we can have as the cure or any temporary relief from this poison.” I instructed them without any hesitation. “We need access on royal library, Noah… They have everything there.” Hunter said to me in a frustrated tone this time.
“We have access…. come with me.” Clarke answered him and immediately started running out of the room. “Let’s go.” I said to Evan and we both ran towards the shelter. The patients there were in the worse condition right now.
I stopped at the entrance of the tent and looked around. The whole place was a mess and all the volunteers with the medical staff were trying their best to help the patients. “How about our elders?” I asked Evan while assessing the whole situation. Their condition suddenly deteriorated and created this mess.
“They are on their way here.” He informed me and I immediately looked behind when I sensed Aurora. I immediately ran towards her when I saw her and Olivia coming out of the hospital in hospital gown. “What are you two doing? Go back to your bed.” I yelled at them in panic when both of them staggered a little.
“We are fine, pup.” Olivia answered me in a flat tone but hurried towards the medical desk at one corner. “Let…. Let’s tend to less serious patients and left the serious one to the medical staff. Aurora suggested in a low and exhausted tone.
“Don’t do anything recklessly, love.” I warned her in a stern tone. “I can’t even if I want to.” She answered me in the same tone. I sighed and held her hand. At that very instant, I felt that both my mind and my heart were in peace now.
Evan didn’t say a word but went to the other side of Aurora. We walked inside and immediately went to one of the nurses who was now running somewhere. “Tell me how can we help?” Aurora asked her while stopping her in her tracks.
The nurses had a worried face. “Th… that boy and his sister…. Please look after them for me…. I will be back in zify” The nurse pointed somewhere and then walked past us hurriedly. “Hailey.” Suddenly Aurora screamed and before I and Evan could understand a thing, she almost pulled me so hard that I almost fell forward as our fingers were still intertwined.
She tried to remove her fingers as she was desperate to run in the same direction pointed by the nurse, but I tightened my grip on her fingers. “Let’s go.” I said to her and we hurriedly went to the girl writhing in pain on a stretcher.
“Aurora.. P… please save Thomas… He… he.” The girl screamed in panic and started crying as soon as she saw Aurora as if she had seen some saviour. Aurora shook off my hand and immediately took Hailey’s hand.
“Calm down, first… Hailey… calm down… and listen to me,” Aurora put her other hand on Hailey’s shoulder and pinned her to the bed. Hailey stopped writhing and looked at Aurora with tears completely blurring her vision. “All of you…. Listen to me.” Suddenly Aurora commanded in an authoritative tone, but I felt a shiver ran through my spine, making me shudder hard when I realized that it wasn’t her voice.
The whole tent went silent immediately. I looked at Evan and he was also stunned. “Stay calm, and give control to your wolves…… enchant the moon goddess name and stop worrying about anything else.” She commanded in the same tone, and for a second, I felt as if something washed over me, calming my stressed mind immediately.
Both I and Evan immediately held her shoulders when we saw her slumping her shoulders. “We can win this fight, Hailey….. just stay calm and keep thinking about all those happy moments that you have had with your family, friends and other pack. members. Promise me that you will do this.” Aurora then asked Hailey in a calm tone. This was her own voice.
“Di… did her wolf just took over?” Evan asked me through mind-link in a shocked tone. I didn’t answer him because I was also not sure what just happened. “I.. I will… please save him.” Hailey promised her but pleaded in the end.
“I will.” Aurora promised her too and then looked at Evan. “Give her the pain killer and make her sleep for a while. She will be okay after a good sleep.” She instructed Evan and stood up after kissing the back of Hailey’s hand.
I felt change in the pressure of air, indicating that everyone who had their wolves swapped their controls with their wolves. “Why did you ask their wolves to take over?” I asked Aurora while walking away from Hailey. Aurora was frantically looking around as if she was searching for
someone.
“Our wolves have better healing abilities if free from control. All they need to stay calm. This way, the venom will not spread quickly in their bodies, and their wolves can do this.” She explained and started running in a different direction.

“Where are you going?” asked her while running behind her. She was just in a hospital gown, but all her wounds had miraculously vanished from her body. She was just exhausted and weak, but not wounded at all.
