Chapter 50
Aurora’s POV
My heart sank to the deepest pit of my stomach as soon we reached the village which was suddenly in medical chaos. “This is worse.” Frank muttered in a fearful tone. I gulped hard but couldn’t say a word in response.
“Let’s go… As their pack mates, we must do everything to help them.” Hunter instructed all of us in a firm and monotonous
true alpha… tone. He was truly a leader and knew how to react according to the situation. a true trait of a
We were ten in total. We were in the boxing ring with these students around practicing for the coming tournament when they got a mind-link from Alpha Adrian. Because of Selene, Alpha Adrian couldn’t mind-link me but I still came with all of
them.
I was about to take a step forward when Frank gripped my hand, making me look at him in confusion. “You are here to help them as a packmate, Aurora. You will not use your powers here to help them in any way… you heard what Alpha Adrian and Alpha Nevil said….. this could be a work of those who wants to find you.” He warned me through mind-link.
It was weird that Alpha Adrian couldn’t mind link me, but Frank, Noah and Hunter could. Even Evan could mind-link me through our family bond. I understand, Frank.. you don’t worry… I will be careful.” I assured him nervously.
To be honest, I wasn’t sure about Selene’s action there. As a part healer, it’s her tendency to react to those who are innocent and in need of urgent medical assistance. Yes…, this was the thing with Selene’s healing power. She could only help them who were innocent and had never hurt anyone intentionally.
My heart kept on sinking as we went deep inside the village. “It’s bad, Frank… 1. I can’t stop Selene… Even if she wants to stop herself… she can’t.” I said to Frank through mind-link. “Cutall your connection with the whole pack.” Hunter suddenly instructed me, making me look at him in confusion
“What do you mean?” Frank asked him through mind-link. It was when I realized that Hunter mind-link both of us. “Selene can use her connection with the pack to treat them if not physically touching them. Cut off the connection and she will not be able to reach to their pain.” Hunter suggested, but I pursed my lips into a thin line.
“He is right. It may be a trap set up by our enemies to know the information about who helped those patients back then. But you all need to block the connections.” Selene said to me in a firm tone. I still could sense her reluctance, but this wasn’t only about us. We are in a critical medical emergency. Even a small battle could lead to our destruction.
“Selene said that you guys too have to block the connection.” I told them after some time and reached to a boy who was now writhing in pain on a stretcher. “We will….. start the work now,” Frank replied to me hurriedly and we all started helping whoever was in front of us.
“How did this happen?” Hunter asked someone while trying to feed some water to a woman who was deathly pale. I held the boy in my arms and tried to massage his body to give him some relief. I sighed when I realized that Selene was still working on is condition.
It was not that significant. She just stopped his condition getting worse. “Hey.. you guys feed them this medicine. It will give them some relief in pain.” A nurse came running to us and gave us a few bottles filled with white pills.
All of us immediately took the bottles and unscrewed them. I immediately fed the boy that medicine and made him drink some water too. He was still crying in pain. “Hold on, honey…. you will feel better in no time.” I coaxed him in a cracked.
tone.
I was scared for him. He was… I guess… only 5 or 6 years old. How did this happen? How could the whole village suddenly fell sick “Th.. they poisoned the stream and other water sources The boy told me while crying in pain.

I looked around and saw a young girl curled up on a stretcher. Her face was completely pale, and breathing was shallow. “I need to give that girl this medicine, honey. Can you stay on your own for a while?” I asked the boy who was now looked a bit
better.
“Yes…she….. She is my sister… P.. please save her.” He pleaded to me while getting off from my lap. My heart squeezed in pain. I didn’t say anything to him, but made her lie down comfortably. After assuring that he was now comfort immediately went to the girl.
1
“Hey… What’s your name?” I asked her while taking another pill out of the bottle. “Hailey” She answered me in a painful voice and coughed harder after that. I immediately patted her back lightly, fearing that I might cause her more pain
“Here… Take this medicine… You will feel better.” I gave her the pill immediately. My heart was now beating furiously in fear. I was scared…. It was good for me that I forgot about how Luna Helena died in my embrace. I had no complained about that because Alpha Adrian did that for my own good
But now I was dreading the worst. I wasn’t ready to see death again. “Alpha blood” Suddenly Selene murmured, making me frown in confusion. I was still holding the girl who took the medicine, butwas coughing violently.
“They all are average wolves and that’s why their healing abilities are not as far as they are for an alpha. Feeding them alpha blood, let alone our blood, can make them fight with this disease more vigorously than they can on their own.” Selene explained calmly.
“B… but we we are not alpha, Selene.” I replied to her, but heard her taking a deep breath. “Ask Hunter to mix her blood with ours and dropped two drops of that mixer to everyone’s mouth….. but only one drop in a pup’s mouth.” She instructed me instead of replying to me.
I wanted to confront her first but Hailey’s coughing pulled me out of my trance. “Hunter…. Hunter.” I yelled aloud while holding her tightly. Her condition deteriorated. Soon Hunter and his mother, Olivia, both came running to us.
“Let me take over.” Olivia asked me and I immediately stood up to step away. “You don’t worry…. My mother is a skilled doctor.” Hunter comforted me but I could feel that he was anxious too. We all, after all, were just teenagers. It was nothing wrong in being anxious in this situation, right?
“Hunter…. Alpha blood.” I whispered to him as I couldn’t mind-link right now. He furrowed his brows in confusion. “Alpha blood has better healing powers than an ordinary wolf. Selene said that we should feed them with… With your blood.” I suddenly paused when I realized that Olivia was listening to our conversation.
I tip-toed and reached his ear. He also leaned so that I could reach his ear. “My blood.” I whispered too low that Leven couldn’t hear those words. He looked at me immediately and I nodded to him in response indicating that he heard right
“Mom.” Hunter squatted down immediately. “What is it, Hunter” she asked him while tending to Hailey. “What do you think about Aurora’s suggestion. It will give us some time, right he asked her in a hopeful tone.
I was also looking at Olivia in anticipation. She looked at me and then to Hunter with a complicated gaze. I guess he was also contemplating what to do or what not. She was a smart woman and I was sure that she guessed something from my behaviour.
“Bring two sterile beakers.” She yelled aloud and looked at me and Hunter once again, I felt that her gaze will piece me to my soul which made me uncomfortable. I needed something to tell her to avoid her suspicion.
“… I read about the healing powers of alpha blood in a book. Around 250 years ago, Alpha Heather Thornbill revived all his injured warriors during his battle with an army of vampires and witches by using his bloul 11e… he was from a strong alpha blood… If… if I am right… Th..then Alpha Nevil and Hunter is from same bloodline” suddenly blurted out something that I also didn’t remember that I knew..
Her eyes widened in shock and she immediately stood up. “Where did you read about this?” she immediately asked me

while holding me by my shoulders while Hunter held Hailey. “L. I read in a book in our library.” I answered her truthfully but stuttered hard in panic.
“Is she right, mom?” Hunter asked her anxiously, but her eyes were now glued on me. I just blinked harder in panic. “She is night, Hunter.. A powerful alpha’s blood has some healing abilities that can help other to… To heal faster. Or.. to boost their immune system to the extent where the person suffering from any disease can fight for a bit longer.” She a ered him in a calm voice.
I was so scared that I felt almost fainting on the spot, but was relieved after hearing her explanation. After all, she was a doctor, and she had the knowledge of this better than me or anyone else present there.
“Then… What are we waiting for???? Use my blood on them.” Hunter said in a hurried and excited tone. At the same time someone bring two glass beakers. “We… We must be careful about the dosage, Luna Olivia.” I warned her hurriedly.
“What do you suggest?” she suddenly asked me and I gulped hard in panic. “Uhhh… L. I guess two. Two drops to an adult an… and one drop to a pup?” I suggested hesitantly while looking at her cautiously. She smiled this time. “You aren’t a sharp tool, but you have a good knowledge. We will talk about this later.” She replied to me, and my heart sank again.
Hunter stood up and extended his nail and made a sharp cut on his palm. I winced in pain while holding the beaker. He squeezed his palm over the beaker. At the same time, Hailey suddenly cried in pain. Olivia immediately squatted down.
“Hurry.” Hunter mouthed and I immediately grabbed his wrist from the bottom and opened my palm slightly before looking around. No one was paying attention to us. Hunter moved his hand downwards and slashed the side of my palm where his blood ran down, touching my palm in the process..
smarter than everyone else. If anyone even see our hands right now, he would think that it was that he was I must say Hunter’s blood, not mine. “Remove your hand. Selene suddenly ordered me, and I immediatley withdrew my hand. At the same time, Olivia stood up.
“She had a empty syring in her hand. She filled the blood hurriedly and squatted down immediately. Both I and Hunter breathed out in relief while looking at each other. That was really a close call
“Aurora.” I looked in the direction of the voice calling me, and saw Noah running towards me with other boys and some other people while having a frantic expression on his face.
