I felt suffocated by this revelation. We tormented Aurora because we all believed that she was the reason that our loved ones died. Now the whole table flipped by this revelation. “We don’t understand, Hank. Can.. can you give us some specifics about this?” Frank asked him in a confused tone.
My father slowly opened his eyes and looked at me calmly this time. My father was good in hiding his emotions and he did a good job in hiding them right now.
“You heard him, Frank. This was something that I only intended to tell Noah, but now…. It seems that you two also need fo know this” My father replied to Frank in a calin tone, still his eyes on me.

My head was now spinning hard. We were told about the protector’s bond, and also that a Luna whos a direct link with the Moon Goddess got a protector. It it meant that my mother had a director connection with the Moon Goddess????
“After your birth, Helena asked Victor and Hannah to take an oath to protect you if the situation comes where they needed to choose between her and you, Noah. I… I don’t know the specifics, but…. It seemed a tactic understanding between your mother and them because a protector can’t leave his Luna in danger at any cost. He… he was supposed to guard your mother, but they went for you.” Dad told me this time in a serious tone.
The whole mystery was now taking a toll on my mind. Until now, everything was about me and my mother. Alone?” Frank asked my father this time in a curious tone.

“Because she wasn’t in the pack at that time.” Abraham answered me, and I moved my gaze on him. Martha was Aurora’s grandmother from her mother’s side. She joined our pack after her mate’s death to take care of Aurora. So, she must have been with Aurora at that time.
“Martha got a call from her son in the evening. Her daughter-in-law was about to give birth to their first pup. So, Martha went there to stay with her son and his mate for some days.” Abraham continued and I took a deep breath. It explained Martha’s absence there. Of course, this was something related to adult’s stuff, and that was why, we knew nothing about that.
“The first secret th.. that I was going to tell you is th.. that.” My father paused again and took a deep breath. My heart once again started pounding heavily against my ribcage in anticipation. All these revelations tonight related to that attack had already taken me off guard.
“Your mother, my mate…. Helena….. She belonged t… to a very sacred and hidden lineage, Noah.” Dad revealed in a calm tone, and my breath got struck in my throat. “There is a myth about her lineage that they are meant to protect some special wolves, directly connected with the Moon Goddess just like your mother.” He said further in the same calm tone.
I didn’t know what to say or what to think right now. Beast was also silent at the back of my mind. “In her family…. it.. it’s hard to assume who is chosen by the Moon Goddess to protect someone dear to her, and that’s why, none of us knows if she was supposed to be the protector of the direct descendant of the Moon Goddess or not, but the attack.” He continued but paused again when he mentioned the attack.
I could feel pain in his voice. It was hard for him to mention my mother so openly. I didn’t find my mate yet but I could feel how painful it was for him to talk about his deceased mate. “That attack was to abduct you, Noah.” He continued and I felt that someone had punched me so hard that all the air inside my chest came out of my chest at that very instant.
“I don’t know how the rumours spread, but the council believed that you have some special powers, and wanted to take you from us. They believed that you got those powers from one of your ancestors from your mother’s side, and that’s why, you need to stay with the council for further training until you unleash your powers.” He continued telling me the reason of the attack in a calm tone.
My whole world crumbled at that very instant…..
We believed that it was the council and “Your mother refused to let you go to the council, hence earning their anger. We some s**ty alphas who orchestrated that attack on us. They were here not to kill you, but to take you away. It was spinning so hard. I clearly had no special powers because I never felt like that. Even Beast didn’t tell me anything about this. “This is a shock for me too, pup. We… We are the reason that our mother was killed?” he raised the question that I was dreading to face now.
